Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.DHP-1125314-140 Composed by Luigi Cherubini. Arranged by Tohru Takahashi. Great Classics. Classical. Score Only. Composed 2012. 40 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1125314-140. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1125314-140). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Cherubini made his Paris debut with Démophon, which premiered in 1788. Tohru Takahashi has arranged this dramatic overture for concert band, with specific parts for oboe, bassoon and saxophone among others. However, since the important parts are also included as cues in the score, it can be adapted to a more limited instrumentation.
$42.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

$98.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.DHP-1115227-010 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. Concert and Contest Collection CBHA. Hymns & Chorals. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2012. De Haske Publications #DHP 1115227-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1115227-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. 2011 was a disastrous year for Japan: on March 11 the northeast of the country suffered a violent earthquake, which triggered a huge tsunami and caused massive damage to people and the environment. The ensuing problems with the nuclear reactor atFukushima only increased the misery: a black day in the country's history... One almost inevitable consequence of such dramatic circumstances is the particular damage suffered by the cultural arts. And so it was in Japan: various high school wind orchestras in the effected areas lost their practice rooms and/or instruments. It will take a long time before the damage suffered is repaired - and it will take great effort to overcome the psychological effects, too. Focusing on the latter, Yutada Nishida (director of The Bandwagon radio program) asked a few composers fora simple work that could be played by many orchestras. It just so happened that the Osakan Philharmonic Winds (with whom Jan Van der Roost had conducted a concert exclusively of his own works on September 25th) had had a similar idea. This concert saw the baptism of Song of Hope. This pieceimmediately struck a chord with musicians and audience alike: it begins bleakly in the low register and evolves to a more open, optimistic close. There really is hope for better times!
$137.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie (Score & Parts) - Grade 5 SKU: HL.44011968 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. De Haske Concert Band. Concert Piece. Softcover. Composed 2013. De Haske Publications #1135389010. Published by De Haske Publications (HL.44011968). 12.0x16.75x1.051 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Namase Rhapsody differs in several respects from most other concert works by Jan Van der Roost, with its impressive twists and turns and musical allusions to the work of John Adams. A first, minimalist movement, is followed by a lyrical andexpressive second movement for various soloists in different ranges. The third movement sees a stark change of mood with a rigid metrical figure before a powerful and energetic close.
$275.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

$68.00 - See more - Buy online

| Elburg Fantasy Marching band [Score and Parts] - Intermediate De Haske Publications

Fanfare Band - Grade 4 SKU: BT.DHP-1135396-020 Composed by Jacob De Haan. Concert and Contest Collection Brass Band en Fanfare. Concert Piece. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2013. De Haske Publications #DHP 1135396-020. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1135396-020). 9x12 inches. English-Dutch. This musical fantasy depicts the history of the Dutch fortified town of Elburg. The work begins with an atmospheric medieval picture of the Convent of St Agnes, the nunnery that was built in the first half of the 15th century. We hear the sound of the convent bells together with an upward motif, which will reappear later in the work. Next, the rest of Elburg is featured, including the fortress - from which the bells of the Sint-Nicolaaskerk (Saint Nicholas Church) are ringing. Then, cheerful sounds can be heard at the Vischpoort (Fish Gate), where a dancing group is performing a 16th century French folk dance (a branle des chevaux). We also hear old wagons rumbling over the town’scobble stones. Trade made this Hanseatic town a lively place. The repetitive upward motif first heard in the introduction now develops into a more distinct feature, reflecting the mercantile spirit of the town residents. Then follows the slow middle movement, in which the clock has been turned back to the time when Elburg was still lying on the Zuiderzee (which was a bay of the North Sea), and was struggling with floods. After the second St. Marcellus Flood (1362) and the water flood of 1367 it was decided that the town would be relocated. We now hear the theme of branle des chevaux in a minor key, followed by a death bell sounding in remembrance of the drowned citizens of the former town. Back in our own time, a slow, expressive theme in Baroque style mirrors Elburg’s tranquil places, such as the Feithenhof (Feithen Court) and the Weduwenhofje (Widow Court). Then the bustle returns with motifs from the introduction, followed by an attractive theme in which present-day Elburg is portrayed with its many tourists. Now, suddenly, there is an echo from the past, depicting the dramatic floods and wars that once plagued the town. This leads to the grand closing theme: branle des chevaux is heard for a final time from the perspective of the historic town centre.
$203.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-1105035-010 Composed by Claud...(+)
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-1105035-010 Composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg. Arranged by Masamicz Amano. New Sounds for Concert Band. Pop & Rock. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2010. De Haske Publications #DHP 1105035-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1105035-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The musical Miss Saigon has touched millions of hearts worldwide. This is partly due to the romantic, yet equally tragic, love story set in war-torn Vietnam during 1975, and partly to the emotional and engaging music by Claude-Michel Schönberg. Masamichi Amano’s medley for concert band combines the songs: The Heat Is on in Saigon, Kim and Chris, Dance, If You Want to Die in Bed and Bui-Doi.
De medley van Masamicz Amano voor harmonieorkest bevat de titels The Heat Is on in Saigon, Kim and Chris Dance, If You Want to Die in Bed en Bui-Doi.
Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1135396-120).
$52.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-1135389-010 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. Concert and Contest Collection CBHA. Concert Piece. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2013. De Haske Publications #DHP 1135389-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1135389-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Namasé Rhapsody differs in several respects from most other concert works by Jan Van der Roost, with its impressive twists and turns and musical allusions to the work of John Adams. A first, minimalist movement, is followed by a lyrical andexpressive second movement for various soloists in different ranges. The third movement sees a stark change of mood with a rigid metrical figure before a powerful and energetic close.
$275.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
