Scored for augmented jazz ensemble, this adaptation of the famous Scottish tune alternates between traditional 6/8 and swingin' 4/4 meters while the tempo remains constant. Good balance between woodwinds and brasses is essential, and a solo presentation of the refrain melody by trombone is especially nice.
