Misa Una Santa Fe/One Holy Faith Mass offers a multitude of performance options, making this fully bilingual setting perfect for any parish. This comprehensive Mass contains every acclamation you'll need for the liturgical year plus additional verses for the Gospel Acclamations (including Lent), bilingual intercessions, the Preface dialogue, every form of the Memorial Acclamation, and a sung setting of the Our Father. And everything can be sung in Spanish, English, or any combination of the two. This setting works well with an ensemble of piano, guitars, and optional percussion, but also with organ. The use of brass quartet and timpani will enhance the Eucharistic Acclamations and add a festive dimension to this thoroughly appealing Mass setting.  This is the assembly edition and as such does not include any choral or keyboard parts. .

This canticle is appointed as the response to the fifth reading of the Easter Vigil, for the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart (year B), and is optional for the Baptism of the Lord (year B). It could also be used as a song during the sprinkling rite throughout the Easter Season. The setting requires a strong cantor to clearly proclaim the calls and elicit a strong congregation response. Because the cantor always sings the call, various language configurations are possible.

Hampton produced a small, but significant body of hymn tunes that expanded the notion of what a hymn tune and its accompaniment could be. Melodic sequences and an accompaniment cast in trio sonata form were common compositional devices he employed, both are found in the tune MacDOUGALL. is set for two mixed voices (or equal voices, if desired) is taken from e Calvin Hampton Hymnary, G-2339. In the composer’s notes from that collection, Hampton suggests a tempo of quarter note = 76, saying: “the accompaniment can be played by hands alone, omitting the vocal line [found in the keyboard treble clef]. The accompaniment figure could be played on the guitar, piano, or harpsichord.†Listen to the recording and follow along with the score in this preview video:  .
