ISBN 9790004214688. 10 x 12.5 inches. Bruch's evergreen for the first time in UrtextThanks to the premiere performance by Joseph Joachim and to the release of the printed edition in 1868, Max Bruch's Violin Concerto no. 1 zipped onto the road to success and has never left it since. Yet from the preface of the BreitkopfUrtext edition, one can infer how things looked like behind the dazzling facade. After the world premiere, the composer struggled for the definitive form. He wrote 3, 4 development sections in the finale, and sought the advice of celebrated virtuosi such as Joseph Joachim and Ferdinand David to revise the solo part. And after all this was done (see above), Bruch suffered under the work's popularity: Have I written nothing but this one concerto? The new Urtext edition is based primarily on the first edition. Next to the main source and the autograph, what is supremely interesting is a solo part with entries by Joachim and Bruch. It confirms how intensively the two men collaborated on honing the final form of the work. $70.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 3 to 4 weeks

Max Bruch succeeded in composing an impressive setting of the well known Advent text, O Heiland, reiss die Himmel auf (O Saviour, tear open the heavens). Compositionally it is extremely sophisticated in its construction; Bruch combines both the choir and orchestra in a powerfully expressive and moving portrayal of mankind waiting for the coming of the Saviour. Following the premiere of the work in 1869 it was celebrated as Bruch's most important choral work, but later it fell largely into oblivion. ISBN 9790007190378. Text language: German. Text: von Spee, Friedrich / Simrock, Karl. Almost 150 years after it was composed, for the first time a critical-scholarly edition is now available to the public. Tuba and trombone ensemble SKU: P2.90090 Composed by Max Bruch. Arranged by Patrick Geren. Chamber music. Published by Potenza Music (P2.90090). Max Bruch's 'Ave Maria', Op.61 for Cello & Orchestra (composed/published in 1892) was based off an earlier motif presented in Bruch's dramatic cantata, 'Das Feuerkreuz', Op.52 (The Fiery Cross) for Soprano. The edition with Trombone Choir was produced for Dr. Aaron Tindall and the Ithaca College Trombone Troupe whom premiered it at the Northeast Regional Tuba & Euphonium Conference (NERTEC), hosted at Ithaca College in 2013. The extensive melodic passages and Bruch's unique harmonic language will challenge the performer to maintain an emotional dialogue with the audience. 'Ave Maria' is a truly masterful work by the composer. $24.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Piano SKU: HL.48024669 Set of Solo Parts. Composed by Max Bruch. BH Piano. Classical. Softcover. 80 pages. Duration 1320 seconds. Simrock #M221122469. Published by Simrock (HL.48024669). ISBN 9783923051618. UPC: 888680951641. Max Bruch wrote his Concerto for two pianos in 1912 for an American piano duo, who only ever performed a cut down version. It was not until 1976 that the original version was released. The piano reduction by Wilhelm Bruckner-Ruggeberg is now available in this new edition and is also available with additional separate solo parts for both piano parts. Bruch's pianistic, powerful late arrival reflects echoes of Bach and Brahms. $80.00 - See more - Buy online
