Bram Wiggins (1922-2014) was a highly respected British trumpeter composer and teacher. He spent eleven years as principal trumpet and principal cornet at the LSO before embarking upon a freelance career that tookhim all over Canada and the UK. He settled as Head of Wind at Stowe School while he would also regularly examine at the Royal Academy Trinity College and Birmingham Conservatory. He became well-known for his many compositionsand arrangements for Brass and Wind bands. These are the Trumpet Parts for Judith Weir's Praise Him With Trumpets a work for 2 Trumpets in C SATB Choir and Organ. Commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces in collaboration with The ChoralFoundation the piece was composed for the Hampton Court Chapel Royal Choir in celebration of Hampton Court 500. A setting of text from Psalms 146 and 150 this work lasts around 5 minutes.
