The folk songs in each volume have been chosen for their lively rhythms and robust harmonies and each volume includes an original piece by Mike Cornick that draws on the styles and mannerisms of the region. Mike has provided fingerings to alleviate the inevitable collisions between the many hands in close proximity but says, after all, that is part of the fun.
