The dances originally written by Franz Schubert for piano sound equally well on the accordeon. The well-known Hungarian accordeon player and teacher László Ernyei took advantage of this opportunity when he selected and transcribed for this volume the pieces best suited to his instrument. Included among the many Ländler, waltzes and écossaises are a number of well-known melodies from Dreimäderlhaus.
