An expressive piece for cello and organ. The composer writes: Sharp Stones is based on two musical palindromes: one melodic in the cello part, the other harmonic in the organ accompaniment. The palindromes are of unequal lengths, so with each repetition they interact differently. Moreover, each part mutates as it repeats, thus producing a continuously changing soundscape.
