SATB choir, horn in F or cello, and organ - Early Intermediate SKU: MN.80-712 Composed by Julian Darius Revie. Ordination/Installation, 21st Century. MorningStar Music Publishers #80-712. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers (MN.80-712). UPC: 688670807121. English. John 17:17-18. John 17:17–18, from the High Priestly Prayer of Jesus, is the communion antiphon for Episcopal ordinations and a fitting text for other ordinations, installations, or commissioning. Composer Julian Revie has a skill for sensitivity to the text, and begins this prayer with hushed homophonic writing, gently supported by organ and French horn. The piece builds slowly but persistently, breaking into polyphonic, imitative writing, and reaches a dramatic fortissimo before tapering to the end. $2.25 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 1 to 2 weeks

SATB Choir a Cappella SKU: HL.14033692 Composed by Per Norgard. Music Sal...(+)
SATB Choir a Cappella SKU: HL.14033692 Composed by Per Norgard. Music Sales America. Classical. Vocal Score. Composed 2005. Edition Wilhelm Hansen #WH30605. Published by Edition Wilhelm Hansen (HL.14033692). 1. The Native Land of Light (for mixed chorus, SATB) 2. Come lift me up (for mixed chorus, SATB -) -) the second movement may be performed by a children's chorus or by the female voices (SSA) from a mixed chorus Programme Note From my very first aquaintance with these Andersen poems, I was deeply moved by the simple, almost naive, yet evocative imagery, with which Andersen realized his visions, images like: The Melody of the Heart, The Poem of Beauty, A Spiritual Hindustan, Fly, Death, over the Sea of Time, fly to Eternal Summer. Along with this childishness Hans Christian Andersen's poetry encompasses enormous - almost Willim Blake-ish - cosmic visions, in theinterpolations between e.g. reaching the Heaven as opposed to you'll find it in a Rosebud, or the juxtaposition of Everyday Life and Eternal Poetry - which become one. Thus the music came to life in my immediate encounter with these words, which almost sang themselves into my Musical Furnace - if you will. Solo Soprano voice, SATB Choir, 3 Oboes, basson, 2 trumpets, 2 Violin, Viola, Ba...(+)
Solo Soprano voice, SATB Choir, 3 Oboes, basson, 2 trumpets, 2 Violin, Viola, Basso continuo SKU: CA.3105223 Cantata for the 23rd Sunday after Trinity. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Edited by Ulrich Leisinger. Stuttgart Urtext Edition: Bach vocal. Oboe 3. Cantatas, End of the church year, Trinity. Single Part, Oboe 3. Composed 1726. BWV 52. 8 pages. Duration 18 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 31.052/23. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3105223). Language: German/English. Text: Birkmann, Christoph. It only became apparent a few years ago that the text of the soprano cantata Falsche Welt, dir trau ich nicht came from the collection Gott-geheiligten Sabbaths-Zehnden by the Leipzig theology student and Bach pupil Christoph Birkmann, printed in 1728 in Nuremberg. Birkmann was probably therefore the author of the text. The cantata was written for the 23rd Sunday after Trinity, which fell on 24 November 1726 in the year of its first performance. As in other cantatas in the first annual cycle, Bach chose an instrumental sinfonia as the opening movement - here the first movement of the 1st Brandenburg Concerto. The soprano soloist has two recitatives and two arias, in which the falsehood of the world is juxtaposed with trust in God. The cantata text is rounded off with the first verse of the chorale In dich hab ich gehoffet, scored for four-part chorus, as is usual with Bach. With the use of two horns and three oboes added to the string ensemble, the cantata has colorful and varied orchestration. Score and part available separately - see item CA.3105200. $6.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Edited by Ulrich Leisinger. Stuttgart Urtext Edition: Bach vocal. Violin 2. Cantatas, End of the church year, Trinity. Single Part, Violin 2. Composed 1726. BWV 52. 8 pages. Duration 18 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 31.052/12. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3105212). ISBN 9790007206321.
