Perseus is the famous Greek hero who saved Princess Andromeda,as she was about to be sacrificed to the sea monster Kraken. SatoshiYagisawa was inspired by the story of Perseus, which was madefamous in the 1980’s movie Clash of the Titans. The music is full ofdrama and it is easy to imagine the dark underworld as monstersbattle to survive. The members of your band can sing the choirparts, adding to the fun of this epic tale!
Satoshi Yagisawa werd voor zijn compositie ge nspireerd door de film Clash of the Titans, die is gebaseerd op de mythe van de Griekse held Perseus. Perseus ist eine Auftragskomposition einer japanischen Schule mit einer großen Gesangstradition. Getreu dieser Tradition schrieb Yagisawa ein sehr gesangliches, träumerisches Thema für sein Werk über Perseus, welcher der griechischen Sage zufolge in einem Kampf gegen ein Seeungeheuer die Prinzessin Andromeda rettete. Vom Kinofilm Kampf der Titanen inspiriert, schuf Yagisawa ein dramatisches Werk mit Gesangeinlagen (von einem Chor oder Musikern zu singen), das tiefen Eindruck hinterlassen wird.
Cette composition développe un thème éthéré de texture chorale. Satoshi Yagisawa a choisi d’illustrer Persée, une constellation qui doit son nom au célèbre héros grec qui délivra la princesse Andromède, offerte en sacrifice au monstre marin Cetus (ou Kraken).
