For Upper Voices and Piano (or Organ)-Cradle Lullaby is a work composed by young star composer Owain Park. Commissioned by the Wells Cathedral Chorister Parents' Association the work is arranged for Upper Voices and Piano (or Organ) accompaniment. Cradle Lullaby has been recorded by the Wells Cathedral Choristers for their CD 'Jingle Wells' of which this composition was selected by BBC Radio 3's CD Review Show as the highlight. In the March 2016 edition of Organists' Review Rebecca Tavener wrote that Cradle Lullaby is a 'deliciously dreamy piece with its silken melody' and 'the word-setting andshapeliness of line is exemplary...Here's a composer who knows very precisely just how many notes are enough.'

Suitable to be sung as an Evensong anthem this is a very simple and practical setting for Keyboard and Voice - which might be a solo soprano or treble or unison - of a Victorian children's hymn that can still be found in numerous contemporary collections. Its flowing unforced melody is an ideal counterpart to Sabine Baring-Gould's words which like the poems of Robert Louis Stevenson's 'A Child's Garden of Verses' owe their enduring appeal to the sincere expression of a youthful innocence that rings no less true to the sensibility of adults. The Lullaby was written to celebrate the birth of the composer's godson at the request of his grandparents.

Roger Quilter (1877-1953) was a British composer best known for writing many gentle and beautiful songs. Along with Henry Balfour Gardiner and Percy Grainger he was a member of the Frankfurt Group a group of friends who studied composition together at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt. Slumber Song is a gentle lullaby scored for Unison Voices with Piano accompaniment. The lyrics were written by the little-known poet Clifford Mills. It makes the perfect closing number or even an encore for any choral concert.
