New from Christy and Daniel Semsen and WordKidz, All About That Baby is a delightfully fresh presentation of the blessed story of Jesus' birth.People everywhere are making the journey to the place of their birth, in compliance with Caesar's decree that everyone should register for the census. This results in the little town of Bethlehem overflowing with people arriving from out of town. Nathaniel, a lovable but scatter-brained, late-for-work shepherd, bumps into two of those travelers, Joanna and Simone, as he rushes to take his shift at watching the flock. The other shepherds (his sisters Miriam and Abigail), along with Judah, are waiting for Nathaniel--late once again--to arrive. Thus begins a story that is All About That Baby, with some shepherds, angels, out-of-towners...and singing, talking sheep to guide us along the way!Song Titles: Morning in Bethlehem (Underscore 1A), Morning in Bethlehem (Underscore 1B) * Waiting for a Miracle with O Come,O Come, Emmanuel; Sheep Trip (Underscore 2) * Sheep Stuff; A Deep, Dark Night (Underscore 3) * Messiah * All About that Baby * Star in the Sky with We Three Kings; Plan B (Underscore 4); Sheep Run (Underscore 5) * That Holy Night with O Holy Night * He Shall Reign Forevermore * Hope for a Broken World with Sheep Stuff and All About that Baby (Reprise) * Sheep Bows.

First following the grass roots popularity of this song from Jesus Culture, and on to its almost unprecedented run at Christian radio, as recorded by Francesca Battistelli, this is a song that has made a connection with the church in a unique and special way. Incredibly simple yet utterly profound, it is both a prayer and life statement--Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here... All that long for... So let us become ever more aware of You, of Your presence, let us experience Your goodness as we draw near to You. Beautifully arranged and orchestrated by Daniel Semsen, sensitive to the message and delicate strength of the song, your choir will be singing this reflection of the heart cry of every believer for many years to come.

Practical performing Urtext edition based on the latest state of Bach research. Every era hears and interprets Bach anew, and every era also evaluates the sources afresh and with new eyes. 40 years after the publication of the St. Matthew Passion in the New Bach Edition, Klaus Hofmann, Director of the Johann Sebastian Bach Institute Gottingen for many years and a contributing editor to the New Bach Edition, presents a new edition. Hofmann has placed the study of the sources at the service of musical practice and the detailed investigation of Bach's intentions. Bach scholars are well aware that Bach's original score and performance parts, running to almost 500 pages of music, are full of ambiguities and contradictions, particularly regarding articulation, which constantly challenge performers to new interpretations. Hofmann discusses these and other problems in a concise critical report, frequently arriving at new conclusions in the process. Extensive notes about parallel passages offer valuable help for interpretation. Special attention was devoted to the performance material with regard to practical needs. Thus, for example the text incipits are also printed in the instrumental parts (including tacet passages). In short - an Urtext edition for practical performance based on the latest findings in Bach research. Score available separately - see item CA.3124400.
