Sometimes referred to as the Stadler Quintet Clarinet Quintet KV 581 is Mozart's only completed Clarinet Quintet and was written in 1789 for the clarinetist Anton Stadler.   This idyllic flowing piece was originally written for basset Clarinet but is almost always played on a Clarinet in A or B-flat. It remains to this day one of the composer's most admired works.   The work is arranged here for Clarinet and Piano.

Joseph Horovitz (b. 1926) is a British composer and conductor who is best known for his involvement the 1951 Festival of Britain and for works such as Captain Noah and His Floating Zoo. HisConcertante (1948) was his first published composition written while he was still studying under Gordon Jacob at the RCM. It was modelled on the Weber’s Concertino for Clarinet but is written in adecidedly 20th century idiom. Originally scored for Clarinet and String Quartet this version for Clarinet and Piano was transcribed by the composer.

Composed by Pierre-Max Dubois Romance is a piece for Bb Clarinet and Piano accompaniment dedicated to Fred Lockwood. This melodious piece is perfect for intermediate players. Revised Edition - Based on Manuscript Sources-The 'Sonata for Clarinet and Piano' was Bernstein's first published composition. Sources for this new revised edition were Bernstein's pencil manuscripts of the clarinet and piano score as well as the separate clarinet part.
