On August 14th 2020, the composer Noah Wada saw the Perseids meteor shower from a hill. He could clearly see many bright stars streaming across the sky, as if they were falling down on the earth. The dazzling sight was enough to inspire him to compose this overture.

Starlit Landscape was commissioned by the Kawagoe High School Band, Kawagoe City, Saitama, Japan and premiered on March 20th, 2023 by the band and Mr. Hiroki Mori, director.

Starlit Landscape is a sparkling overture from the Japanese composer Naoya Wada. It begins with a bold brass fanfare over a bright woodwind passage.

Op 14 augustus 2020 zag de componist Noah Wada de Perseïden-meteorenregen vanaf een heuvel. Hij kon duidelijk vele heldere sterren langs de hemel zien stromen, alsof ze op de aarde neervielen. De oogverblindende aanblik was genoeg om hem te inspireren tot het componeren van deze ouverture.

Starlit Landscape werd geschreven in opdracht van de Kawagoe High School Band, Kawagoe City, Saitama, Japan en ging in première op 20 maart 2023 door de band en Hiroki Mori, directeur.

Starlit Landscape ist eine funkelnde Ouvertüre des japanischen Komponisten Naoya Wada. Sie beginnt mit einer kühnen Blechbläserfanfare über einer hellen Holzbläserpassage.
