Par HINDSON MATTHEW. Whitewater, comme son nom l'indique, est inspiré de l'eau dans les ruisseaux, les rivières et les ruisseaux autour de roches et d'autres obstacles. Le travail a été vaguement structuré autour de la progression d'une rivière - torsion, tournant - il y a parfois des articles comme les autres, d'autres sont apparemment totalement différent, pourtant toujours partie de l'entité. Il y a trois sections principales dans cette pièce surtout rapide. Chacun de ces contiennent solo virtuose jouant comme écriture tutti. Whitewater était une Commission du millénaire de Faber Music. Arrangeur: Larry Foster. Pianiste de formation classique, Roberta Flack fait partie, avec Donny Hathaway ou Bill Withers, d'une génération de chanteurs soul intimistes qui s'est imposée au début des années 70. En 1973, le titre Killing Me Softly (qui sera revisité par les Fugees en 1996) caracole en tête des hit-parades du monde entier. Killing Me Softly a définitivement mis une étiquette sur cette chanteuse à la voix délicate, caressante et envoûtante qui n'est pas sans rappeler Carole King, Carly Simon et Janis Ian. Fantazias And In Nomines is a collection of his 15 Fantasies and 2 In Nomines, Z. 731-747. Purcell is credited with popularising the hitherto arcane form of the Fantasy, perhaps most famously in his Fanstasia Upon One Note, where a middle C is sustained throughout – in live performances this issometimes played by a volunteer from the audience!
