Der erste Satz Canzonetta profonda kam im Jahre 2016 bei diesem Wettbewerb zur Uraufführung. Laurenz Radig spielte beim Regionalwettbwerb Düsseldorf und beim Landeswettbewerb NRW in Altersgruppe 3. Ihm wurde der Sonderpreis des DTKV Düsseldorf/Mettmann für die beste Interpretation eines zeitgenössischen Stückes zuerkannt. Begleitet wurde er am Klavier von Susanne Ankener-Maczewski. Die maßvollen technischen Anforderungen der drei Sätze schließen neben den traditionellen Bogen- und Grifftechniken auch natürliche Flageoletts ein sowie ein Flageolett-Glissando.
