* Faure's two beautifully sounding pieces, Sicilienne Op. 78 and Berceuse Op. 16, have been transcribed for Euphonium and Piano by Ralph Sauer.* Both are originally written for Violin or Cello, but easily transfer their charm to the Euphonium.* Parts are supplied in bass and treble clef and can be performed by intermediate level players.* Either piece will make a perfect addition to any recital.

Faure is well known for his lyricism and haunting harmonies. In a way, he was the father of French Impressionist music. The Serenade, Opus 98 was originally written for the great 20th century Cellist, Pablo Casals.Mr. Ralph Sauer has kept the arrangement in the same key as the Cello. The work is playable by advanced performers. This arrangement is another example of Mr. Sauer's excellent feel for the subtleties of the composer's style.
