Joseph Weigl's Die Schweizerfamilie (The Swiss Family) is one of the best-loved operas of the 19th century. Although the music of the opera continues to enthrall it has sadly all but disappeared from the stage. In the archive of the Aschaffenburg music library is an arrangement by Weigl's contemporary F.
