With few studies in existence for the Harp Henriette Reiné's Complete Method of the Harp fills a large gap. Comprising two volumes the first addresses the fudamentals of technique. Renié (1875-1956) was a deeply religious woman who lived in poverty for much of her life. She was a highly accomplished harpist and composer yet she had little triumph due to success being socially unacceptable for women at the time. Reiné's Complete Method of the Harp was written during WWII and remains widely used to this day. Aspects of technique covered in the first volume include pedalling fingering chords scales harmonics arpeggios intervals hand placement and glissandos among other elements. Moreover a helpfully labelled diagram of the Harp is included. Renié's Complete Method of the Harp is an essential accompaniment to all Harp studies.

As a student of famous harpist Lily Laskine Denise Mégevand (1917-2004) received high quality musical education and was significantly instrumental in the revival of the Celtic Harp. She compiled numerous prolific books for the instrument Play and Learn the Celtic Harp being no exception. The Celtic Harp characteristically has metal strings and is notoriously challenging to play. Two solos in jazz idiom for pedal or non-pedal harp-Two solos in the jazz idiom for Pedal or Non-Pedal Harp by Stewart Green. Stewart Green began writing music for the Piano at an early age. Taking up the Viola and Oboe in his teens he later went to the University College of North Wales (Bangor) where he studied composition with among others William Matthias and Reginald Smith Brindle. Gaining a B. Mus. (hons) degree in 1960 he returned to his old school in Richester to teach class and instrumental music. Four years later he enlisted as oboist to the Band of HM Coldstream Guards which opened many doors including performances of his compositions and arrangements in many National venues on discand broadcast by the BBC on Radios 2 & 3. His years at Bangor had enabled him to fulfil a childhood dream of learning the Harp which he was later able to develop when he left the army and moved with his wife Sue and young family to Lowestoft as a peripatetic woodwind tutor for Suffolk County Music Service. His Flights Of Fancy and Blistering Along! appear on ABRSM and Trinity College Harp examination syllabuses while the Spartan Press publication Saxofun is on Suffolk's own exam syllabus. Since 1999 Stewart has been senior Woodwind Tutor for Suffolk and since 2002 Harp tutor as well! Stewart's recent publication She'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain was written for the North Suffolk String Orchestra as was Haunted House. Spookily this received its first performance at Lowestoft accompanied by a July Thunderstorm!

D'après Les Elfes de Leconte de Lisle-French harpist and composer Henriette Renié (1875-1956) lived in poverty for much of her life. However this did not stop her from composing significant works for the Harp including Legende D'Apres Les Elfes inspired the poem of the same name by French poet Leconte de Lisle. Despite being a talented composer Renié lived at a time where fame and success was socially unacceptable for women. In 1903 she composed her substantial work for Harp  Legende D'Apres Les Elfes. As a highly virtuosic work this Renié piece displays use of cadenza passages exploitation of tonality complex rhythms and variety in performance directions. For advanced harpists Renié's Legende D'Apres Les Elfes is an exciting and varied addition to the repertoire.

Music From The Disney Motion Picture Arranged For Harp; Tangled is Disney's popular animated film from 2010, based on the German fairy tale Rapunzel. This book includes two songs from the movie, arranged for lever or pedal harp by Sylvia Woods: I See the Light and Healing Incantation. Both pieces include lyrics, fingerings, and lever or pedal changes. I See the Light is the love song between Rapunzel and Flynn, sung in the boat during the lantern ceremony. This 5-page intermediate arrangement is in the key of C with F and G lever changes throughout. The range is 31 strings, from the C 2 octaves below middle C up to the E 2 octaves and 2 strings above middle C. The one-page Healing Incantation is the song that Rapunzel sings when her hair creates the magic. It is in the key of 1 sharp, with G and C lever changes. It can be played by advanced beginners with experience in making lever changes. The range is 22 strings, from the E almost 2 octaves below middle C, up to the E 9 strings above middle C. It can be played on many 26-string harps, if played an octave higher than written. Both pieces are included in this sheet music.
