Music From The Disney Motion Picture Arranged For Harp; Tangled is Disney's popular animated film from 2010, based on the German fairy tale Rapunzel. This book includes two songs from the movie, arranged for lever or pedal harp by Sylvia Woods: I See the Light and Healing Incantation. Both pieces include lyrics, fingerings, and lever or pedal changes. I See the Light is the love song between Rapunzel and Flynn, sung in the boat during the lantern ceremony. This 5-page intermediate arrangement is in the key of C with F and G lever changes throughout. The range is 31 strings, from the C 2 octaves below middle C up to the E 2 octaves and 2 strings above middle C. The one-page Healing Incantation is the song that Rapunzel sings when her hair creates the magic. It is in the key of 1 sharp, with G and C lever changes. Two solos in jazz idiom for pedal or non-pedal harp-Two solos in the jazz idiom for Pedal or Non-Pedal Harp by Stewart Green. Stewart Green began writing music for the Piano at an early age. Taking up the Viola and Oboe in his teens he later went to the University College of North Wales (Bangor) where he studied composition with among others William Matthias and Reginald Smith Brindle. Gaining a B. Mus. (hons) degree in 1960 he returned to his old school in Richester to teach class and instrumental music. Four years later he enlisted as oboist to the Band of HM Coldstream Guards which opened many doors including performances of his compositions and arrangements in many National venues on discand broadcast by the BBC on Radios 2 & 3. His years at Bangor had enabled him to fulfil a childhood dream of learning the Harp which he was later able to develop when he left the army and moved with his wife Sue and young family to Lowestoft as a peripatetic woodwind tutor for Suffolk County Music Service. His Flights Of Fancy and Blistering Along! appear on ABRSM and Trinity College Harp examination syllabuses while the Spartan Press publication Saxofun is on Suffolk's own exam syllabus. Since 1999 Stewart has been senior Woodwind Tutor for Suffolk and since 2002 Harp tutor as well! Stewart's recent publication She'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain was written for the North Suffolk String Orchestra as was Haunted House. Spookily this received its first performance at Lowestoft accompanied by a July Thunderstorm!

Sophia Giustani Dussek's opus 2 consists of two books of three sonatas each for the harp. The Sonata in c-minor appears in the first book published by Pleyel in Paris in 1796. In this edition the composer's first name was not mentioned so the sonatas were falsely ascribed to Johann Ludwig Dussek who was quite well known in Paris at this time (cf. RISM D 4605). In the Thematic index of the works of J.L. Dussek by Howard Craw opus 2 is given as a set of 4 violin sonatas. An edition of the harp sonatas published by Corri Dussek & Co. in London and Edinburgh is ascribed to Sophia Dussek (cf. RISM D 4649).The new edition of the sonata published by Schott has been correctedaccording to this failure.The edition is part of the ABRSM syllabus and Trinity syllabus 2007 (grade 7)

Ibert's Six Pieces for Harp were published in 1917 shortly after the composer's graduation from the Paris Conservatoire. He was a successful composer writing for a variety of instruments including the Harp such as his Six Pieces. Despite his studies being interrupted by WWI Jacques Ibert (1890-1962) won the Grand Prix de Rome on his first attempt proving his ability from a young age. Ibert enjoyed tackling all styles and form of modernity with equal success. His Six Pieces for Harp display frequent changes of tempo time signature and key signature as well as the use of complexrhythms and varied articulation. The Six Pieces have a continuous romantic theme set near water; 1. Morning on the water 2. Scherzetto 3. Boat in the evening 4. Ballad 5. Reflections in the water and 6. Fantasy. Ibert's Six Pieces are evocative and creative suitable for all intermediate- to advanced-level harpists.
