An instant winner! Skillfully written for the Jazz Starters Series, Hackin’ It Up! is an original Latin/rock chart that is easy to rehearse, teach and learn. It is certainly an effective and playable composition that introduces young musicians to very easy syncopated rhythms. There is no need for soloist as a unison/tutti section, which may be played by any combination of instruments, has been written instead. This piece is definitely a pace changer and a crowd mover and will sound full with reduced instrumentations.
