Although this arrangement resembles a ballad, a steady groove must be maintained throughout. At measure 101 the drummer should play tasteful fills between ensemble phrases. This laidback, down-home blues features a strong melody, great ensemble writing, and plenty of solo space. All swing 8ths should be played with a steady triplet feel, and the tempo (quarter note = 60) shouldn't be rushed, even during the final roaring choruses that take this chart out.
