Par SCHWARZ OTTO M.. Last Call est la deuxième commande qu’Otto Schwarz a reçue du Brass Band de Haute-Autriche et de son manager, Thomas Beiganz. Placés sous la direction d’Hannes Buchegger, les musiciens souhaitaient disposer d’un morceau final qui leur permettait de briller une dernière fois devant leur public. Partant du constat que le répertoire pour Brass Band contenait un nombre relativement limité de pièces de style pop-funk, Otto M.Schwarz leur a composé Last Call (“Dernier appel”), une œuvre pop-funk qui débute avec une fanfare impressionnante suivie immédiatement du premier chorus. Ce dernier introduit une mélodie entraînante qui subit plusieurs transformations à travers le développement de l’œuvre tout en étant soutenue par un rythme funk.
