Sans connaître son origine ni sa destiné, sans savoir à quoi il est attaché ni où il va le conduire. Il nourrit l'inspiration avec ses possibilités multiples.Pas de répit pour l'instrumentiste, il doit traverser l'espace de la partition en restant serein malgré la difficulté et la vigueur constante de la pièce. Le défi structurel est là. Tenir, passer, avancer, trébucher, glisser, sauter, dans une danse qui fait allusion à une capoéira ou aux solos d'un batteur. On poursuit l'écoute, le passage sur des matières vives, sur des volumes en transformation, sur des terrains irréguliers. Le jeu de Iloï ressemble à celui d'un train en mouvement, les perspectives des figures s'étendent à l'infini. Les paysages musicaux s'enchaînent avec leurs typologies variées.Des obstacles surgissent en chemin, des contours serrent le passage, des échos et des souvenirs, nous ramène au passé immédiat de l'écoute. Le temps linéaire est aboli, les éléments de pièce s'enchaînent dans une conscience temporelle devient fluide, omniprésente, tricotée dans le tissus de notre mémoire. Adolfo Kaplan est né le 4 juillet 1975 au Chili.Il commence sa formation musicale au CNSM de Valparaiso, il y étudiera le contrepoint, l'harmonie et l'analyse. En 1999 il obtient une maîtrise en musicologie. Parallèlement, il étudie la composition avec le compositeur Aliosha Solovera au Conservatoire National de Santiago du Chili. La même année, il obtient une bourse pour étudier à Paris : il suit les cours de composition électroacoustique de Christine Groult au studio de Pantin et obtient son DEM en 2003. Il suit également les cours de composition avec Sergio Ortega et Paul Meffano. En 2002 il intègre le CNR de Strasbourg pour y suivre les cours de composition d'Ivan Fedele. En 2003, il prepare un DEA de composition assistée par ordinateur avec Horacio Vagione a l'université Paris VIII.En 2004 il crée avec Matias Giuliani et Santiago Diez l'association ' Projet-Itinérant ', collectif artistique qui organise des concerts interdisciplinaires autour des villes Latino-américaines et Européennes.Son travail de composition comprend des pièces pour instruments, des installations sonores, des musiques mixtes, des pièces pour bande, des musiques d'application et connaît une diffusion internationale.Il obtient diverses mentions dans les concours Scrime 2003 (Bordeaux, France), Time 2004 (Santiago, Chili) Festival Synthèse Imeb 2005 (Bourges, France), Vidéoformes 2005 (Clermont Ferrand, France). / Marimba Solo

He played his first debut recital in Taipei 2002, joined the 'BA-DA Boom percussion group' and was a training ship of 'KARAK percussion duo'. He participated in the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra touring in Queensland. He was invited to play a showcase concert at the 'Australian Percussion Symposium 2003'.Lin became the European Soloist 2007 at the '4th European Soloist Competition' in Birmingham 2007, and he has received extra both the 'performance choice award' and the 'best marimba award'. He is gaining International recognition since he became at the age of 19 years a laureate of the International Marimba Competition Belgium 2004. Praised for his outstanding musicality and remarkable presentation at that age, he also received the 'Young Talent Prize' award. He also received the 'Third prize' of the International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in Poland, the 'Talent Prize' of the Universal Marimba Competition Belgium 2007, the 'Culture Outstanding Award' in the Taiwanese Artist Festival 2006, the 'second prize' of solo marimba and the 'First prize' of marimba duo in APSandE 2003, and the 'First prize' of solo marimba and the young encouragement prize award at the Australian Percussion Eisteddfod 2002.Lin has been invited for master classes and several international festivals in more then 15 countries such as: the International Film Festival in Brussels, the Festival der Voorkempen, the 7th Valencia International Percussion Festival, the 6th International Festival Marimbistas in Chiapas, the International Percussion Ensemble Week, the Universal Marimba Festival Belgium and many European percussion days. In addition, he has taught in several universities - Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium, University of Chiapas, University of Patagonia, La Corunna Professional Conservatory and Hasselt Conservatorium. His composition 'Back to the time? has received the 'Originality Prize? at the Universal Marimba Competition Belgium 2007 and his works became a standard repertoire of international Marimba Competitions. Lin has studied marimba and percussion with Huang Kun-Yan, Guo Guang-Yuan, Gary France, Vanessa Tomlinson, Kevin Man, Eric Sammut and Leo Ouderits. He completed his study specialization marimba with Ludwig Albert and composition with Alain Craens at the Royal Conservatorium Antwerp, Belgium.Nowadays, Lin Chin Cheng is a concert artist from Marimba Projects in Belgium and New Art Inc. in Taiwan and endorser of Resta mallets in France.
