Cette oeuvre a été écrite pour remercier la pianiste Tran Ngoc Nguyen Trinh de son investissement hors du commun lors de la création de mon Poème lyrique Kim Vân Kiêu dans sa version pour cinq voix, récitant et piano (création à Paris en décembre 2017).
Le titre porte en lui-même un projet esthétique : comment traduire ce qui est intime, tendre, infime, sensible, l'émotion à fleur de peau , la relation entre les êtres, faite de fragments de mémoire, de convergences et divergences.
Cette musique assez épurée et simple, au caractère léger, si ce n'est gai, est à jouer avec précision et finesse. La forme est constituée de diverses motifs aux caractères très différenciés qui se succèdent rapidement, s'entremêlent et échangent leurs caractéristiques. Les instrumentistes devront veiller à rechercher dans les plus infimes détails, les couleurs sonores, les articulations, les nuances, etc. les plus diversifiées possibles et changer de mode de jeu instantanément dès une nouvelle indication.
Bien que l'oeuvre soit à jouer sans interruption, dans un cadre d'étude, chaque partie peut se jouer seule.
