100 Ultimate Jazz Riffs for Violin. 100 Ultimate Jazz Riffs for Violin by Andrew D. Gordon consists of, as the title suggests, 100 Jazz riffs based on common chord progressions used in jazz such as the II-V-I, III-VI-II-V etc. in both major and minor keys. There are five separate sections: Jazz Swing, Jazz Ballad, Jazz Funk, Jazz Waltz and Latin Jazz. Each musical example has a single note improvised melody line with the chord progression At the end of the book there is the chord progression for the popular jazz standard "Blue Moon" showing you how to use various examples from the 100 riffs to create an improvised solo over the chord progression. By demonstrating this technique you can pick most jazz standards and create your own improvisational ideas using the book. The audio files are recorded with the clarinet playing the melody line along with a rhythm section of guitar, piano bass and drums. All the examples are recorded with the violin and the rhythm section, as well as the rhythm section without the violin. An absolute must for musicians learning and playing various jazz styles. There are different versions: a version for Flute, Guitar, Bb and Eb Sax, Piano, Trumpet, Trombone and Clarinet. Facebook Twitter Pinterest Google Quantity

Easy Klezmer Tunes was created in response to many requests for a simplified version of Stacy Phillips' highly acclaimed "Klezmer Collection". Phillips has compiled a selection of pieces for beginning instrumentalists from that classic book.
Klezmer music originally came from the Jewish ghettoes of Eastern Europe of the 19th and early 20th Centuries. The style reflects its mix of heritages from Europe, Near East and Gypsy.
These arrangements are based on some of the earliest classic recordings in Europe and America. As such, they are a great introduction to this music which is now a world-wide phenomenon. Each number is arranged for C, Bb, Eb and Bass Clef instruments. Brass, Reed, Piano, Flute and String players can receive instant gratification from these entry level arrangements.
The accompanying audio demonstrates ensemble versions of all the music, performed at slow tempos, by world class Klezmer artists on Clarinet, Violin, Guitar and Bass. Includes access to online audio.
