6 Sonatas for Piano and Violin op. 10 (b)-Weber composed an incredible array of compositions in his rather short but at the same time tireless life. Many of them have still to be discovered. The Six Violin Sonatas op. 10 (b) composed inDarmstadt in 1810 are most certainly amongst them. The individual movements are rather short and also not particularly difficult technically. The music is on the other hand all the more compelling which is partly due to thevarious integrated dance forms: ?Carattere Espagnuolo? and ?Air Polonais? in Sonata No. 2 ?Air Russe? in No. 3 ?Siciliano? in No. 5 and a ?Polacca? in No. 6.

When Weber offered the sonatas for violin and piano to the publisher André from Offenbach in 1810, the latter refused to print them because they were 'too good and demanding'. In order to reach as large a target group of music-making amateurs as possible, the editors at that time increasingly saw to the works' easy playability. Fortunately, the sonatas nevertheless found their way into the repertoire of the violinists.This is a practical edition in two volumes based on the text of the Weber Complete Edition. / Violon Et Piano

Violin and Piano-Einstein was a violinist all his life. In the motion picture Einstein's Light filmmaker Nickolas Barris and composer Bruce Adolphe set out to communicate Einstein's dedication to the Violin and his particular love for the music of Mozart and Bach. This collection of music composed for the soundtrack is based on phrases from those two great masters that spin off into physics-inspired dreams and thoughts. It contains a poignant solo Violin piece based on music by Bach and four pieces for Violin and Piano that are based on phrases from Mozart's music. The composer includes one work in particular the Mozart Violin Sonata No. 34 notable because the only extant recording of Einsteinplaying the Violin contains the slow movement from this sonata.
