Written for the Madison Youth Choirs, composer Dan Krunnfusz has set the traditional 'Ave Maria? text in a contemporary style. Creating two, equal in range and importance vocal lines, the hand chimes add a beautiful legato feel that should be reflected in the singing. / Voix Et Instruments Divers

EUNOIA, made up of the particles eu and noia which mean 'beautiful' and 'thinking', describes, in rhetoric, the goodwill a speaker elicits from listeners. This word which contains all five vowels is the name given to a young ensemble from Basle which consists of 4 instrumentalists from different instrument sections and a soprano, and it is the title of Mike Svoboda's 'Ballade' which was created on commission of the ensemble on 2014.
