Giulio Briccialdi fut l'un des plus éminents virtuoses flûte du XIXe siècle. Naturellement, hormis un opéra, son oeuvre se composait principalement de pièces pour la flûte. Il épousa en nombreux fantasmes sur des extraits d'opéras populaires (principalement des oeuvres italiennes et les opéras de Meyerbeer) éblouissante virtuosité tunes qui étaient populaires favoris.
