Notes to the Conductor This adaptation of Christmas Carol Trilogy was arranged to accompany the choral arrangement of the same title by Russell Robinson. It can be played with Robinson's vocal arrangements with band and chorus together or as a stand-alone piece for band. If performed together with a chorus, it is recommended that the performers play one to two dynamic levels lower than written (depending on the size of the chorus) so as not to overpower the singers. Take a well-known holiday classic, give it to a creative arranger, and you get a hard driving rock chart that's filled with instrumental and dynamic contrasts! After an attention-getting introduction, a few bars of the melody are played quietly in 3/4. Then it's straight-ahead rock in 4/4. The open solo section for any instrument has only two chords, and the chart works fine even if the solo section is omitted. A very impressive chart at the medium-easy level. The trumpets never leave the staff. It's the perfect something different for your holiday concerts.
