Les fidèles décidèrent de se rassembler pour le culte dominical au son d’un tambour. Aujourd’hui, Hoogeveen possède plusieurs carillons mais continue d’honorer cette tradition ancienne. Music for a Solemnity (Musique pour une occasion solennelle) est une oeuvre festive en hommage au tambour d’Hoogeveen.
