D.A. Laurent Duroselle - Magazine Guitare Classique Menuet 1 (WSW 1.8) Menuet 2 (WSW 1.9) Gavotte (WSW 1.10) Gavotte et Double (WSW 2.8/WSW 2.9) Prélude (WSW 4.1) Ouverture (WSW 4.2) Courante (WSW 4.3) Bourrée (WSW 4.4) Allegro (WSW 1*) Courante Royale (WSW 2*) Prélude (WSW 10.1) [Menuet ?] (WSW 4*) Fuga (WSW 6*) Fuga (WSW 7*) L'Amant malheureux (WSW 8*) Fantasie (WSW 9*) [Menuet] (WSW 10*) Plainte (WSW 15.1) Tombeau du Baron d'Hartig (WSW 11*) [Bourrée ?] (WSW 12*) Menuet (WSW 13*) Gavotte (WSW 14*) Menuet (WSW 15*) Praelude [

Once again the French musicologist Denis Herlin, who mastered the harpsichord under the tutelage of such keyboard legends as Kenneth Gilbert and Huguette Dreyfus, has presented an exemplary edition of a classic from the harpsichord repertoire.' (Jury of the German Music Edition Prize on BA 10844)
Bärenreiter presents Book II of Couperin's 'Pièces de clavecin”, first published in 1717, In addition the eight preludes and one allemande from his treatise 'L'Art de toucher le clavecin” are included in the appendix. For the first time Denis Herlin has evaluated the many later impressions of the original print, most of which he unearthed himself in international libraries. By preserving the essential features of the original print while largely dispensing with disruptive page-turns within the pieces, the volume brings modern performers close to the special sound of this music. Rounding off this pioneering new edition are an extensive Foreword, notes on historical performance practice, a comprehensive glossary, facsimile pages and a detailed Critical Commentary.
- Pioneering edition with the first-time evaluation of an extensive body of sources
- Includes Couperin's original expression marks

Debussy links the 12 'Préludes? in his first book not by a tonal scheme, but by means of a chain of associative mottos or titles which appear at the end of each piece and which may give a hint of the overall poetic content. The musicologist Thomas Kabisch who specialises in Debussy's piano music has edited this Urtext edition based on the latest research findings, resulting in an authoritative publication. The edition has a clear layout, practical page-turns and fingering by the experienced teacher Martin Widmaier, professor of piano at the Robert Schumann University, Düsseldorf. This fingering traces musical lines and supports sensitive sound production. There are also special fingering exercises to assist in the learning of the chordal structures. Thus, the edition provides the necessary prerequisites for studying these works.- Urtext edition based on the latest state of research- Includes fingering as well as additional specific fingering exercises- Detailed foreword (Ger/Eng) and critical commentary (Eng) / Piano
