Piano Solo - Medium SKU: BU.EBR-A066 Composed by Frederic Chopin. This edition: French Edition. Classique. Anacrouse. Partition Biographie Notes sur l'oeuvre. Score. Editions Bourges #EBR-A066. Published by Editions Bourges (BU.EBR-A066). ISBN 9790560151496. 8.58 x 12.48 inches.
$9.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Clarinet and piano (original scoring: clar, orch) SKU: BR.MR-2259 Piano reduction. Composed by Andreas Spaeth. Edited by John P. Newhill. Solo instruments; stapled. Musica Rara. In spite of his more than 200 works, Andreas Spath remains a minor figure in Romantic music. But this is of little concern to today's clarinetists, who can now enjoy his idiomatic Variations on a Theme by Mozart op. 104. Variations; Solo concerto; Romantic. Piano reduction. 24 pages. Breitkopf and Haertel #MR 2259. Published by Breitkopf and Haertel (BR.MR-2259). ISBN 9790004488058. 9 x 12 inches. In spite of his more than 200 works, Andreas Spath remains a minor figure in Romantic music. But this is of little concern to today’s clarinetists, who can now enjoy his idiomatic "Variations on a Theme by Mozart" op. 104. Just as Beethoven before him and many other composers of his own time and later, Spath chooses the duet "Bei Mannern, welche Liebe fuhlen," a popular theme from the then still very successful Magic Flute, and leads it knowledgeably through all of the clarinet’s registers. The new edition is based on the first print, published during Spath’s lifetime. $22.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 3 to 4 weeks

| Schumann Variations E-Flat Major Op. 23 1 Piano, 4 hands G. Henle
Piano; Piano Four Hands (1 Piano, 4 Hands) SKU: HL.51481648 Piano 4 Ha...(+)
Piano; Piano Four Hands (1 Piano, 4 Hands) SKU: HL.51481648 Piano 4 Hands. Composed by Johannes Brahms. Edited by Jakob Hauschildt. Henle Music Folios. Classical. Softcover. 31 pages. G. Henle #HN1648. Published by G. Henle (HL.51481648). UPC: 196288308423. 12.25x9.25x0.11 inches. Johannes Brahms twice chose a theme by his friend and mentor Robert Schumann as the basis for piano variations. While the Variations op. 9 were composed for piano solo, as an exception he wrote Opus 23 for a four-hand scoring. Its tender, chorale-like theme is particularly touching and was carefully chosen by Brahms: It was among Robert Schumann's last musical thoughts, which the composer, already tormented by severe delusions, believed he heard from the voices of angels. The Variations, composed in 1861, end with a kind of funeral march and can be understood as a wistful farewell to his deceased friend. The musical text is based on the New Brahms Complete Edition, thus ensuring the highest accuracy and reflecting the most current state of research. Furnished with fingerings by Andreas Groethuysen, a proven specialist for the four-hand repertoire, this Urtext edition leaves nothing to be desired. Peter Terry's Unleashed?makes for an impressive concert opener that is the musical equivalent of unleashing a caged animal. The piece is exciting from start to finish, with energetic and bold material that students will love to play. Everyone wants to be unleashed, to be set free of restraints. This piece captures the exhilaration of being set into motion with unlimited optimism and energy. The piece is a rhythmic and propulsive gallop that spins off lyrical material as it drives to a climactic finish that is both exciting and fun. The piece opens with a robust first theme, then transitions on a rhythmic figure spun off from the opening material. The opening section repeats in variation with different orchestration. The more lyrical material that emerges should be brought out to balance the first theme and rhythmic figures from the first section. A development of the material from the opening follows, driving to a brief pause. This pause feels like it will lead to a contrasting lyrical theme, but the energy is just suspended for a second before the piece takes off again. The work finishes with a repeated-note transition back to variations on the opening material and a propulsive rush to the end. I enjoyed writing this piece and hope your students will enjoy playing these contrasting styles and that you will find the piece beneficial in teaching important musical concepts. ?????????Peter Terry, 2018. Published by LudwigMasters Publications (AP.36-M306491). UPC: 660355123672. English. Clara Schumann (1819-1896) wrote this work in 1853, creating seven variations on her husband's theme from his Bunte Blätter, Op. 99, No. 4 (Albumblätter) for piano. She presented the piece to Robert Schumann on his 43rd birthday in 1853, the year before his crippling mental breakdown, making this the final birthday that he would spend with his family. It is also among the last works that Clara Schumann composed for the piano. Johannes Brahms was inspired by Clara to compose his own Variations on a Theme by Robert Schumann, Op. 9, which he then dedicated to her. Michael's emotional setting opens with a flute solo then builds gradually as layers of instrumental groups are added. The piece shifts to a lilting 6/8 style, propelled by the percussion section, and culminates in a majestic statement by the entire ensemble. $7.50 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 24 hours - In Stock
