Keyboard World is a beginner method for keyboard that is especially suitable for older children or teenagers who are learning the keyboard and can be used with or without a teacher, for individual lessons or for group lessons. The different ways of using the keyboard are introduced: playing with or without the automatic accompaniment, reading notes and chord symbols, but also playing by ear, as well as composing and improvising. The opening triple-meter prelude in Eb major is sunny and bright in character, with its arpeggiated textures evoking plucked strings. The fughetta begins in the relative minor (C), with a darker and more dissonantly chromatic character; however, it works through several keys to end in Eb major. The concluding allegro returns to joyous mood of the opening movement (though its middle section returns again to C minor).
