Piano duets (original scoring: orch) SKU: BR.EB-9390 Composed by Jean Sib...(+)
Piano duets (original scoring: orch) SKU: BR.EB-9390 Composed by Jean Sibelius. Solo instruments; stapled. Edition Breitkopf. Symphonic poem; Late-romantic; Early modern. Score. 48 pages. Duration 20'. Breitkopf and Haertel #EB 9390. Published by Breitkopf and Haertel (BR.EB-9390). ISBN 9790004188606. 9 x 12 inches. The symphonic poem Tapiola is the final major composition for orchestra that Sibelius was able to complete and publish. It was commissiones by the conductor Walter Damrosch for the New York Philharmonic and was premiered on 26 December 1926. Taking the forest god Tapio as name giver, Sibelius once more got his inspiration from Finish mythology. The present arrangement by Einar Englund and Peter Lonnqvist now allows a performance in the course of a chamber music concert. By choosing the scoring for piano for four hands, or alternatively for two pianos, the arrangement stays as close as possible to Sibelius's complex orchestral texture. Tapiola is also available in the original version for orchestra at Breitkopf & Hartel. The edition takes over the music text published in volume I/16 of the complete edition Jean Sibelius Works .
Arrangement for piano for four hands or two pianos by Peter Lonnqvist, based on a transcription by Einar Englund. $43.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 3 to 4 weeks

Concert band Piano and concert band - Grade 5 SKU: BF.BM797-SET For Piano and Orchestra. Composed by George Gershwin. Arranged by Martin Jorge. Baton Music instrumental series. For Piano and Orchestra. Full Score and set of parts. Baton Music #BM797-SET. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM797-SET). Despite being very busy with three different Broadway musicals, Gershwin was able to complete the 'Concerto in F' for Piano and Orchestra in November 10, 1925. It was commissioned by the American conductor Walter Damrosch who conducted the premiere in Carnegie Hall later that year featuring the composer as the soloist. The 'Concerto in F' shows considerable development in Gershwin's compositional technique, particularly because he orchestrated the entire work himself. Argentine arranger Martin Jorge transcribed the complete concerto for piano with accompaniment of a Symphonic Wind Orchestra. $433.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Orchestra Piano Solo: 2.2.2.2: Saxes(AAT, opt): 4.3.3.0: Bells: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set) SKU: AP.36-A604290 Composed by Leroy Anderson. Arranged by Walter Damrosch. Full Orchestra. Edwin F. Kalmus. Score and Part(s). LudwigMasters Publications #36-A604290. Published by LudwigMasters Publications (AP.36-A604290). UPC: 654690665539. English. First published and recorded in 1954 (only included at the time on the album "A Leroy Anderson Pops' Concert"), this lovely piano instrumental was released as a UK single in 1957 and hit the charts in early summer. Decca then issued the track on 45 in the U.S. which enjoyed a moderate success. Anderson later recorded stereo version of Forgotten Dreams in 1959. The composition features a haunting, romantic melody and its performance is within the reach of most late-intermediate pianists. Written in D major, it contains expressive tempo variations, an animated B section, and arpeggiated chords which require a bit of stretching. Instrumentation: Piano Solo: 2.2.2.2: Saxes(AAT, opt): 4.3.3.0: Bells: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set). These products are currently being prepared by a new publisher. While many items are ready and will ship on time, some others may see delays of several months. $60.00 - See more - Buy online
