ch. Wer nur den
lieben Gott lässt
walten was composed
by Georg Neumark in about
1641 and was subtitled
‘Trostlied’
literally meaning
consolation song.
Songbooks at the time
showed the popularity of
this song and it is still
well-known today partly
due to Johann Sebastian
Bach’s use of the
melody for one of his own
chorals. In Jan de
Haan’s arrangement
the choral is heard
twice, once, alternating
with the original motif
from the introduction and
a second time, without
interruption, reflecting
the composer’s
original intention - a
song of
consolation.
We
r nur den lieben Gott
lässt walten wurde
um 1641 von Georg Neumark
geschrieben. Alte
Gesangbücher belegen
eine frühe
Popularität des
Liedes, das heute nicht
zuletzt durch Johann
Sebastian Bach, der es u.
a. für einen Choral
verwendete, jeder kennt.
In dieser Bearbeitung
erklingt der Bach-Choral
zweimal: einmal
alternierend mit dem
Motiv aus Jan de Haans
Einleitung und einmal
ohne Unterbrechung in
einer Besetzung, die der
ursprünglichen Absicht
gerecht wird: einem
Trostlied.
Intorno
al 1641, Georg Neumark
compone il cantico Wer
nur den lieben Gott
laesst walten, nel
quale ogni strofa esprime
la fede in Dio e gli d il
sottotitolo di Canto di
consolazione. Il cantico
ebbe grande notoriet . In
questo arrangiamento
firmato Jan de Haan, il
corale è esposto a due
riprese: dapprima
preceduto da una breve
introduzione seguita da
una variazione tra ogni
verso, in seguito in una
trama continua che,
fedele al sottotitolo
originale, cerca nella
sua azione la
consolazione. $21.95 - Voir plus => AcheterDélais: 2 to 3 weeks

Although accredited to

berühmten Komponisten,
handelt es sich um eine
Abendhymne. Roland Kernen
verwendete die Hymne als
Grundlage für seine
Komposition. Nach einer
majestätischen
Einleitung, in der Roland
Kernen den harmonischen
Stil Bachs beibehält,
wird das Choralthema
vorgestellt. Dann folgen
zwei Variationen, in
welchen das Thema in
einer anderen Taktart
gespielt wird als das
Original. Die erste
Variation ist von einer
etwas friedvolleren Art
als die zweite, durch die
sich elegant eine ruhige
Melodielinie
schlängelt. Das Werk
schließt mit einer
Wiederholung der
königlichen
Einleitung. $110.95 - Voir plus => AcheterDélais: 2 to 3 weeks

English-German-French-Dut
ch. The well-known
chorale Nun komm, der
Heiden Heiland
(Let the Earth Now
Praise the Lord) was
written by Martin Luther
in 1524 and derives from
a translation of a hymn
from the 4th century
before Christ. The melody
was composed by Johann
Walter, however Johann
Sebastian Bach used it as
a basis for many
cantatas. This
arrangement by Jacob de
Haan gives your band the
chance to perform an
attractive version of
this beautiful chorale.
Het bekende
koraal Nun komm, der
Heiden Heiland is in
1524 geschreven door
Maarten Luther - het
betreft een vertaling van
een hymne uit de 4e eeuw
n.Chr. De melodie is
gecomponeerd door Johann
Walter. In het
Nederlandse Liedboekvoor
de Kerken is het koraal
te vinden als gezang 122
(Kom tot ons, de
wereld wacht). Johann
Sebastian Bach gebruikte
de melodie als basis voor
verschillende cantates.
Dit arrangement van Jacob
de Haan geeft uw orkestde
gelegenheid een fraaie
versie ten gehore te
brengen.
Die
Melodie dieses bekannten
Adventsliedes stammt aus
dem 12. Jahrhundert, der
Text von Martin Luther.
Das Lied hat bereits
groÃ?e Komponisten, wie
u. a. Johann Sebastian
Bach, Michael Praetorius,
Samuel Scheidt und
Heinrich Schütz, zu
Kantaten und Motetten
inspiriert. Zur
Adventszeit wird es
innerhalb und auÃ?erhalb
der Kirche gern gesungen
- und kann dank dieser
stimmungsvollen
Bearbeitung nun auch Teil
Ihres weihnachtlichen
Repertoires werden.
Martin Luther
(1483-1546) a
réalisé en son

chant sacré et chant

lâ??hymne de saint

Veni redemptor

cantique de lâ??Avent,

Heiland.
Jean-Sébastien Bach

The year 2000
is a jubilee year for the
Roman Catholic Church. To
celebrate this the
Vatican Church
commissioned Jean-Paul
Lecot to compose a hymn
for the festivities. The
composition, 'Christ
hier, Christ aujourd
'hui', became well known
through the
Vatican-approved CD
recording made by Andrea
Bocelli. Roland Kernen
has produced this
professional arrangement
which retains all the
beauty of the original.
