ch. This piece is
about a medieval legend,
The Treasure of

The Legend of

Dieses
Stück handelt von
einer mittelalterlichen

von einem Silberschatz in

Raubritter, Krieg,

jene trifft, die
versuchen, den Schatz zu

large choral work
entitled Shchedryk by the
Ukrainian composer Mykola

sung on Ukrainian New

(January 13th) which
hopes for good fortune in
the year to come. In
Shchedryk, Leontovych
added his own the lyrics
which concern the legend
claiming that when Jesus
was born, all the bells
on earth started ringing
in his honour.The tune
has since been the
inspiration of at least
four different Christmas
carols, but Philip Sparke

ch. This piece is
about a medieval legend,
The Treasure of
Zolverknapp, thatis
associated with the
region around the village
Zolver in Luxembourg.It
tells the tale of hidden
treasure, brave knights,
fierce battles, silverand
jewels and a devil?s
curse! All of these
combine to make The
Legendof Celobrium a
legendary concert work.
The Legend of
Celobrium is
geschreven in opdracht
van de Harmonie de
Soleuvre uit Luxemburg,
ter gelegenheid van het
honderdjarig bestaan in
2007. Celobrium was de
Romeinse naam voor
Soleuvre (Zolwer in het
Luxemburgs, Zolverin het

beschrijft een beroemde
sage die al eeuwen bekend
is in de regio. Een
muzikaal verhaal
boordevol
avontuur!
Dieses
Stück handelt von
einer mittelalterlichen
Sage aus der Region um
das Dorf Zolver
(lateinisch Celobrium) in
Luxemburg. Sie erzählt
von einem Silberschatz in
einer alten Burg.
Raubritter, Krieg,
Flucht, Silber und
Juwelen, der Teufel und
ein Fluch, der heute noch
jene trifft, die
versuchen, den Schatz zu
heben, machen The
Legend of Celobrium
zu einem spannenden
Konzertwerk.

est un des points les

Templiers, qui y
vivaitavec sa famille et
son armée. Non loin du
Zolwerknapp, près de
Belvaux, vivait au sommet
d’une colline
boisée, un puissant
voleur du nom de Tara.
Les deux hommes
étaient constamment en
conflit, chacun voulant
régner sur les terres
alentours. Tara finit par
remporter le conflit et
consentit une seule
concession. Il autorisa
l’épouse
d’Alexandre
quitter les lieux avec

elle tous les biens
précieux que l’

accorda le droit de

originated as an
introduction to
instrumental
musique-concrete. In this
sort of piece it is
common for sound
phenomena to be so
refined and organised
that they are not so much
the results of musical
experiences as of their
own acoustic attributes.
Timbres, dynamics and so
on arise not of their own
volition but as
components of a concrete
situation characterised
by texture, consistency,
energy, resistance.This
does not come from within
but from a liberated
compositional technique.
At the same time it
implies that our
customary sharply-honed
auditory habit is
thwarted. The result is
aesthetic provocation:
beauty denying
habit.(Helmut

nouvelle edition est une
invitation faite aux
violoncellistes qui
souhaiteraient
redecouvrir leur
instrument et la maniere
de la faire sonner en
realisant dessus un
nouveau genre de
polyphonie: une
polyphonie d'actions.

German. Kaum ein
Instrument hat sich in
den letzten Jahren so
rasant weiterentwickelt
wie die elektronischen
Schlagzeuge. Das liegt
auch an den unschlagbaren
Vorzügen, die E-Drums
dem modernen Drummer
bieten: enorme
Soundvielfalt, ein
eingebautes Metronom und
häufig auch
Aufnahmefunktionen und
Ãœbungshilfen.
Darüber hinaus haben
sie noch einen ganz
anderen Vorteil
gegenüber einem
'normalen' Drumset: Man
kann mit dem Kopfhörer
leise üben, ohne die
Nachbarn zu stören und
die Suche nach einem
geeigneten Proberaum
entfällt völlig! In
diesem Buch lernst du
alles, was du wissen
musst, um ein perfekter
E-Drummer zu werden.
Beginnend mit dem Aufbau
deines E-Drum-Sets, der
richtigen Sitz- und
Stockhaltung und den
ersten Standard-Rhythmen
auf der Snaredrum
gelangst du schnell zu
deinem ersten Groove und
dem ersten
vollständigen
Play-Along. Praktische
Tipps und viele
Ãœbungen und Rhythmen
garantieren einen
schnellen Fortschritt.
Schritt für Schritt
erlernst du die
Schlagzeug-Notation,
damit du später
Rhythmen vom Blatt
spielen oder deine
eigenen Ideen notieren
kannst - für Musiker
eine unschätzbar
wertvolle Fähigkeit.
Eine Vielzahl von
Ãœbungen und
Pro?-Playbacks
verschiedener
Stilrichtungen können
per QR-Code schnell und
einfach auf Smartphone,

werden. Und
selbstverständlich
kommt auch die technische
Seite deines E-Drums-Sets
in dieser Schule nicht zu
kurz. Wichtige Begriffe
wie Latenzzeit, Velocity,
MIDI, Mehrzonen-Pad oder
DAW werden in kleinen
E-Drum-Workshops
genauestens und immer
praxisbezogen erklärt.

tion is the first
movement from the
Clarinet Concerto
by Jan Van der Roost,
which was commissioned by
Musica Reservata VOF,
Belgium, and is dedicated
to the famous clarinet
soloist Eddy
Vanoosthuyse. A
slightly mysterious intro
leads to an orchestral
climax with ascending
melodies and the entrance
of the soloist. This
occurs at first with
fragmentary musical
ideas, and then with
longer melodic lines. The
orchestra delivers the
dialogue withthe soloist,
and creates a fitting
musical frame with a
delicate and colourful
instrumentation. Towards
the end of the music, the
atmosphere from the
beginning is restored,
and the soloist finishes
on the same note that he
started the piece on.
The concerto is also
available as a piano

“Kanreki†is

composer was inspired by
some of Professor
Nakatsukasa’s
admirable characteristics
upon composing this work:
he speaks softly and at

fashionable, stylish and
refined. The band
accompaniment is at a
moderate level of
difficulty, allowing the
solo flautist to choose
this work for many an
occasion.

eigenschappen van
Nakatsukasa: hij spreekt
zacht en weet zijn
studenten in hun eigen
taal te benaderen; hij is
eigentijds, stijlvol en
verfijnd. De
harmonieorkestbegeleiding
is van een gemiddelde
moeilijkheidsgraad, zodat
de solofluitist dit werk
voor diverse gelegenheden
op het programma kan
zetten.
