This study score is based on the score and complete performance material of Dvorák's famous B minor Cello Concerto (BA 9045) edited by Jonathan Del Mar and published in 2011. In addition the study score contains a Foreword by Dvorák scholar Jan Smaczny.Like every other major 19th-century cello concerto, Dvorák's concerto resulted from a collaboration between the composer and a virtuoso musician. Several passages in Dvorák's autograph were written by the cellist Hanus Wihan but Bärenreiter's edition now reveals that some details in the orchestral parts are also in his writing, showing just how closely the two musicians were working together. The editor Jonathan Del Mar has conscientiously examined every available source, including two that have hitherto been either ignored or crucially undervalued. His research has led to a benchmark edition that reconstructs, for the first time since its initial publication in 1896, Dvorák's definitive version of the solo part. It differs from previous editions in practically every measure and hundreds of corrections have also been made to the orchestral parts. - Includes Dvorák's final and definitive version of the solo cello part - Incorporates new discoveries regarding the collaboration between Dvorák and Wihan - With Feuermann's and Casals's alternative versions of a passage in the first movement - Detailed Foreword (Eng/Cz/Ger) / Violoncelle Et Orchestre

Arrangeur: Jonathan Del Mar. Par BEETHOVEN LUDWIG VAN. Although Beethoven did not live to see the publication of his String Quartets op. 130 and op. 133, he oversaw the production process, making corrections and putting the works into their final form. The String Quartet op. 130 is the longest piece within Beethoven's extensive chamber music oeuvre. Originally, the Große Fuge was meant to be the final movement of op. 130. Beethoven's conversation books document the separation of the Große Fuge from op. 130, its replacement by a new finale and its assignment to a new opus number op. 133. / Date parution : 2019-11-29/ Répertoire / Quatuor à Cordes

Archduke. Par BEETHOVEN LUDWIG VAN. By the time Beethoven completed the ?Archduke? Trio in 1811 he had been working on it for several years. In April 1814 he could finally give the work its première together with Ignaz Schuppanzigh and Joseph Linke, this being Beethoven?s last public appearance as a pianist. He dedicated the piece to his friend, pupil and patron, Archduke Rudolph of Austria. Today it numbers among his most celebrated pieces of chamber music, not least because of its remarkable melodiousness ? a feature typical of Beethoven?s music from these years ? and its spacious formal design. Jonathan Del Mar?s new critical edition of the Trio draws not only on early prints but also on various handwritten sources. A detailed introduction by Misha Donat is devoted to the work?s historical contexts. - Urtext edition of Beethoven?s most famous piano trio - Detailed introduction (Eng/Ger), editor?s foreword (Eng/Ger) and Critical Commentary (Eng) / Date parution : 2022-11-29/ Répertoire / Violon, Violoncelle et Piano

B Minor. Par DVORAK ANTONIN. Like every other great 19th-century solo concerto, Dvorák ’s famous Cello Concerto was a collaboration between composer and virtuoso. It has long been known that certain solo passages in Dvorák ’s autograph score were actually written by the cellist Hanuš Wihan; but Bärenreiter’s edition now reveals that some details in the Orchestral parts are also in his writing, showing just how closely the two musicians were working together. The editor Jonathan Del Mar has painstakingly examined all the surviving sources, including two that have hitherto been either ignored or crucially undervalued, in order to produce anauthoritative edition which restores – for the first time since the original edition was published in 1896 - Dvorák ’s final and definitive version of the solo Cello part. This differs, in details, in almost every bar from the version found in all other modern editions, while hundreds of corrections have also been made to the Orchestral parts. - With Dvorák ’s final and definitive version of the solo Cello part. - With hundreds of corrections in the solo Cello part as well as the Orchestral parts. - With hitherto unknown details regarding the collaboration between Dvorák and Wihan. - With Dvorák ’s original Piano reduction. - With Feuermann's and Casals' alternatives to a passage in the first movement. - Full score, performance material (BA9045), Cello & Piano (BA9045-90) & Facsimile (BVK1849) available for sale./ Répertoire / Violoncelle et Orchestre

Par BEETHOVEN LUDWIG VAN. Some of Beethoven ’s most enduring and unabashedly successful works stem from his so-called “Middle Period” and in the genre of chamber music, the quartets Op. 74 and 95 together with the recently issued Op. 59 quartets complete this period. Jonathan Del Mar’s scholarly critical edition of quartets Op. 74 and 95 sets the record straight once and for all, restoring Beethoven ’s articulation, dynamics and lengths of slurs as the composer originally intended. The interdependency of the sources and their readings are clearly laid out by Del Mar in his Critical Commentary, which also contains facsimile pages pointing out ambiguities with previouseditions. - Bärenreiter quality Urtext. - Critical Commentary (Eng) with facsimiles. - Study score includes historical introduction (Ger/Eng) by Barry Cooper. - Parts BA9018./ Répertoire / Quatuor à Cordes

Piano Reduction.

C Major. Par BEETHOVEN LUDWIG VAN. In Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, a piano trio provides the soloists – a first in the history of music. Beethoven’s treatment of the trio is pioneering: he does not apply a typical piano trio setting in contrast to the orchestra, but varies his treatment of the solo parts, allowing each instrument to play alone with the orchestra (particularly the cello), using two solo instruments together in ever new combinations, and finally bringing together all three instruments with the orchestra. Beethoven weaves a complex web – the orchestral, piano, violin and cello voices interplaying and entwining – and he produces a true masterpiece. Bärenreiter’s new Urtext edition of Beethoven’sTriple Concerto is a completely fresh revision of this warm and beautiful showpiece. Errors abounded in all previous editions, but with the assistance of three newly-discovered sources, editor Jonathan Del Mar has cleaned up the text, corrected wrong notes and rhythms and (for the first time since 1807) presented the work in a way that a musician of Beethoven’s day might have recognized, with all necessary information for directing the piece included in the solo piano part. Piano reduction with separate parts for all three soloists Draws on three new sources Correction of many errors found in previous editions/ Répertoire / Piano, Violon, Violoncelle et Orchestre
