For 6 Hands At 1 Piano. Par CORNICK MIKE. '4 More Afro-Caribbean Pieces for 6 Hands at 1 Piano” is the second of two volumes of arrangements by Mike Cornick. Suitable for intermediate players, these 'trios”, are as light-hearted as you would expect, both of the music and the format. They will be excellent material for informal soirées, having fun at a weekend course or perhaps as an encore or finale of a piano class concert. The folk songs in each volume have been chosen for their lively rhythms and robust harmonies and each volume includes an original piece by Mike Cornick that draws on the styles and mannerisms of the region. Mike has provided fingerings to alleviate the inevitable collisions between the many hands in close proximity but says, after all, that is part of the fun.
This volume includes: 'Brown Girl in the Ring”, 'Sloop John B”, 'Long Time Gal” and Mike's own 'Caribbean Escapade”.

In this latest volume, '4 Afro-Caribbean Pieces for 6 hands”, Mike offers three traditional pieces, 'Jamaica Farewell”, 'Mary Anne” and 'Yellow Bird”, plus a piece of his own which perfectly captures the stylistic mannerisms of this very musical region.
Mike has suggested fingerings to help avoid the collisions inevitable with three players at one keyboard but he adds 'it's all part of the fun”! The second and terzo parts can be downloaded (free of charge) from the publisher's website to aid private practice.
