Dieses Kindermusical versteht sich als ökologisches Lehrstück. James Krüss dichtete den Text nach seinem gleichnamigen Buch und Christian Bruhn, der Komponist von Hey, hey Wicki und Heidi, vertonte ihn als Musical für Kinder und Jugendliche.Florian fliegt auf seiner Wolke über das Land und sieht von oben nicht nur Wiesen, Felder und fröhliche Menschen, sondern erfährt auch, wie Leichtsinn, Dummheit und Gewinnsucht in Umweltzerstörung und Krieg enden können. So wie es im echten Leben noch keine Lösung für all diese Probleme gibt, endet auch das Musical offen mit einer Art Appell: ?Menschen müssen bleiben, doch wir hoffen, dass ihr Treiben in der Zukunft besser sei!'.Die Kinder treten in verschiedenen ein- bis zweistimmigen Chören auf. So können viele Kinder (mit verschiedenen Kostümen) oder sogar mehrere Schulklassen an dem Projekt teilnehmen. Solisten, stumme Rollen und Erzähler(in) vervollständigen die Besetzung. Dieses Musical kann ganz ohne Instrumente aufgeführt werden. Die Musik kommt von der beiliegenden Playback-CD, zu der gesungen wird. Geübt wird mit dem Klavierauszug oder der mitgelieferten Vollversion. Die Erstausgabe aus dem Jahr 1986 steht weiterhin als Ensemblefassung zur Verfügung (Partitur ED 7403).
