Arranged for 3
to 5 octave handbell
choir and optional 3
octaves of handchimes.
Level 3. From a slow,
simple opening, Jason
Krug's celebration of
Holy Communion builds in
power throughout the
arrangement. A
fantasia-like middle
section features brief
snippets of other
communion hymns, adding a
degree of aural interest.
This piece is perfect for
a Maundy Thursday
service, or any communion
service throughout the
church year.

Origi
nal composition Written
in memory of a beloved
handbell ringer, this
original composition
brims with both sorrow
and soaring hope. The
piece comprises two
separate parts: an easier
one for 2-3 octaves, and
a more complex one for
3-6 octaves, which can
each be played
independently for a full
and satisfying effect.
When the two parts are
combined, however, they
compliment and augment
each other for a truly
breathtaking musical
statement. Perfect for
church, concert, or
festival use.

Rated level 4. Ron
Mallory's original piece
works well not just in
concert, but also as a
non-traditional choice
for Easter Sunday
service, or any other
celebratory time during
the church year. A
driving, syncopated
melody -- at first
lightly accompanied, then
propelled by malleted
bells -- gives way to a
gentler, reflective
middle section with a
melody on chimes. The
initial idea returns at
the end to bring the
piece to a final,
triumphant conclusion. A
fun piece both to ring
and hear!
