solo Israeli pianist
Tal Weissman was born in
Haifa in 1972, and began
his musical training at
age four. While a youth,
he performed as a soloist
with most of the
orchestras in Israel,
including the Israel
Philharmonic Orchestra
and the Israel Chamber
Orchestra. He was awarded
an Outstanding Israeli
Competitor at the Arthur
Rubenstein Competition in
1992, and has won prizes
in international piano
competitions in
Europe. In 1995,
Weissman was accepted for
piano studies with the
internationally renowned
pianist and pedagogue
Maria Curcio Diamand in
London. During this
period of study in
London, he was awarded
many prizes and performed
in most of the major
concert venues in
England. In 1999, he made
a concert tour of the
United States. Tal
Weissman returned to
Israel in 2004, where he
teaches piano privately
and continues to perform
both in Israel and
abroad. His compositions
for piano and other
instruments express the
human sprit as it faces
the challenges of the
world. The Sonatina
for Flute Solo is
dedicated to Israeli
flutist Eyal
Ein-Habar.

Robert
Winn's exercises for the
development of
articulation and tonguing
shall show all flutists
an interesting way to get
to know and add to the
character and spectrum of
musical expression. This
edition is centred on the
technique of tonguing and
a deeper knowledge of

the tongue and diaphragm.
The exercises compiled

“Comp
osed by Makoto Shinohara,
Kassouga is a piece for
advanced Flute players,
accompanied by a Piano.
This work lasts 6 minutes
and is dedicated to
Hirohiko Kato. Very
difficult, the first
section of the piece
slowly but expressively
and includes a Cadenza by
the Flute solo. The
second part is then
introduced, fast,
energetic and rhythmic,
before another Cadenza by
the Solo Flute, leading
to the end of the work
finishing really
harmoniously. It is a
melodious work that is
relatively challenging
and could be played in
recitals or for contests.
Makoto Shinohara is a
Japanese composer from
Osaka. He studied in
France with Olivier
Messiaen and Tony Aubin
and in Germany with Bernd
Alois Zimmermann and
Gottfried Koenig. He
wrote some Orchestral
pieces, some chambre
music some electronic
music and some works for
traditional Japanese
instruments.â€.

Teach
flute with the popular
Suzuki Flute School! The
Suzuki Method of Talent
Education is based on
Shinichi Suzuki's view
that every child is born
with ability, and that
people are the product of
their environment.
According to Shinichi
Suzuki, a world-renowned
violinist and teacher,
the greatest joy an adult
can know comes from
developing a child's
potential so he/she can
express all that is
harmonious and best in
human beings. Students
are taught using the
mother-tongue approach.
Each series of books for
a particular instrument
in the Suzuki Method is
considered a Suzuki music
school, such as the
Suzuki Flute School.
Suzuki lessons are
generally given in a
private studio setting
with additional group
lessons. The student
listens to the recordings
and work with their
Suzuki flute teacher to
develop their potential
as a musician and as a
person. This
accompaniment book aids
in Suzuki flute
lessons.
The International
editions include an
updated title page that
designates the book as
the International
Edition.
About Suzuki
Method
The
Suzuki Method is based on
the principle that all
children possess ability
and that this ability can
be developed and enhanced
through a nurturing
environment. All children
learn to speak their own
language with relative
ease and if the same
natural learning process
is applied in teaching
other skills, these can
be acquired as
successfully. Suzuki
referred to the process
as the Mother Tongue
Method and to the whole
system of pedagogy as
Talent Education. The
important elements of the
Suzuki approach to
instrumental teaching
include the following:an
early start (aged 3-4 is
normal in most
countries); the
importance of listening
to music; learning to
play before learning to
read; -the involvement of
the parent; a nurturing
and positive learning
environment; a high
standard of teaching by
trained teachers; the
importance of producing a
good sound in a balanced
and natural way; core
repertoire, used by
Suzuki students across
the world; social
interaction with other
children. Suzuki students
from all over the world
can communicate through
the language of
music.
