Sources were analyzed with up-to-date scientific and musicological methodology.The National Edition was based on sources originated from the composer, mainly autographs, copies of autographs and first editions with the composer's corrections, and pupils' copies with Chopin's annotations. In cases when original sources were lacking, the closest possible materials were used. Collecting the source materials was a laborious task which took years of effort.The characteristics of sources, the links and discrepancies between them as well as the reasons for particular editorial decisions are discussed in the Source Commentary in each volume.The Performance Commentary appended to each volume includes: the realization of ornaments, comments on pedal markings (the original markings sometimes are inadequate, due to the difference in sound between pianos used in Chopin`s times and modern pianos), suggestions as to the 'harmonic legato? Archduke. Par BEETHOVEN LUDWIG VAN. By the time Beethoven completed the ?Archduke? Trio in 1811 he had been working on it for several years. In April 1814 he could finally give the work its première together with Ignaz Schuppanzigh and Joseph Linke, this being Beethoven?s last public appearance as a pianist. He dedicated the piece to his friend, pupil and patron, Archduke Rudolph of Austria. Today it numbers among his most celebrated pieces of chamber music, not least because of its remarkable melodiousness ? a feature typical of Beethoven?s music from these years ? and its spacious formal design. Jonathan Del Mar?s new critical edition of the Trio draws not only on early prints but also on various handwritten sources. Par WUORINEN CHARLES. Charles Wuorinen\'s Second Piano Trio was found on his desk at the time of his passing in March 2020. A single, nine-minute movement, it is characterized by a complex, lively rhythmic interplay between the three instruments, in particular a wittily repeated figure of sixteenth-note quintuplets. Upon reviewing Wuorinen\'s third and final draft for this piece posthumously, three of Wuorinen\'s close musical confidant his student, composer Anthony Cornicello, who edited and engraved the work; his partner and manager, Howard Stokar; and his frequent collaborator, cellist Fred Sherry have decided unanimously that while Wuorinen would certainly have added small details to the score, what he has left behind is a complete and substantial piece. It is published for sale as a full piano score with violin and cello parts. Beethoven’s treatment of the trio is pioneering: he does not apply a typical piano trio setting in contrast to the orchestra, but varies his treatment of the solo parts, allowing each instrument to play alone with the orchestra (particularly the cello), using two solo instruments together in ever new combinations, and finally bringing together all three instruments with the orchestra. Beethoven weaves a complex web – the orchestral, piano, violin and cello voices interplaying and entwining – and he produces a true masterpiece. Bärenreiter’s new Urtext edition of Beethoven’sTriple Concerto is a completely fresh revision of this warm and beautiful showpiece. Errors abounded in all previous editions, but with the assistance of three newly-discovered sources, editor Jonathan Del Mar has cleaned up the text, corrected wrong notes and rhythms and (for the first time since 1807) presented the work in a way that a musician of Beethoven’s day might have recognized, with all necessary information for directing the piece included in the solo piano part. Par CASABLANCAS BENET. Albumblatt für Arriaga, commissioned by the Trio Arriaga and lasting some 7:30 minutes, is the composer's fourth contribution to the classical violin, cello and piano ensemble, for which he has a special esteem. The work was written in homage to the composer Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga, and at the same time as a token of gratitude and admiration for the Trio Arriaga, to whose members the work is dedicated; a double motivation that is reflected in the title of the work. Its course is presided over by a markedly lyrical character that coexists with passages full of energy, rhythmic vivacity and drama. The introduction and epilogue of the work are based on a musical motif derived from the name of the Basque composer (Ju-A-n C-r-I-S-ostomo A-rr-I-A-G-A), made up of the notes A, C, E, Eb, A, E, E, A, G, A, in the manner of a musical acrostic, and from whose nature the harmonic and thematic material of the whole work is largely derived. C'est la star de piano Mitsuko Uchida qui a financé cette publication par un généreux don - sa contribution toute personnelle à ce grand jubilé. Julia Ronge, conservatrice de la collection du Beethoven-Haus à Bonn, est l'auteure d'une savante introduction concernant la genèse et les particularités du manuscrit. Les éditions G. Henleprésentent cette superbe édition en deux volumes - le manuscrit est noté tantôt en hauteur, tantôt en format oblong - dans un écrin richement décoré. Le trio avec Piano opus 59 est composée en 2008. Le travail a été inspiré par Joseph Haydn Die Schoepfung (la création). La Chine possède un grand nombre de vieux mythes et légendes. La première pensée qui est entré en mon esprit était celle du mythe chinois de Pangu qui clivé le Chaos avec une hache pour être le ciel et la terre. J'ai entendu l'histoire du peuple vieux quand j'étais enfant. Je dois dire que c'était un moment fantastique quand l'histoire sauté soudainement dans mon esprit pendant que j'ai apprécié la musique occidentale. Il n'y a aucun doute que mon idéologie de la musique est influencée à bien des égards par la culture occidentale, mais elle sera toujours être ancrée dans mon patrimoine chinois. / Violon, Violoncelle Et Piano
