Saxophone
Mantras by Christoph
Enzel brings together
studies that focus on
saxophone-specific
technical difficulties,
such as register changes,
dexterity in the low
register, and
coordination of the ring
and little fingers.
Similar to Buddhist
meditation mantras, the
exercises are repeated,
gradually increasing the
difficulty level. An
ideal reference for
advanced saxophonists
that can be used in
lessons or as concert
preparation.

“Hell
o! Mr. Sax seeks to serve
saxophonists in their
progress on the
instrument by addressing,
in detail, pitch, timbre,
duration, articulation,
volume and attacks. These
aspects are not merely
discussed in their basic
form, for elements such
as quarter tones, aeolian
sounds and different
types of sounds which can
be produced on the
instrument are also
explored, among others.
The composer, saxophonist
Jean-Marie Londeix (b.
1932) studied at the
Paris Conservatoire
before embarking on a
successful concert career
taking him all over the
world. His position as
president of the
International Committee
of Saxophone and the fact
that many composers have
written Saxophone works
specially for him have
cemented Londeix's
professionalism and
expertise. With this in
mind, Hello! Mr. Sax is
compiled with much
experience and is
essential to accompany
all Saxophone studies,
from beginner to advanced
level.â€.

Adaptable
and flexible to your
unique needs, Solos,
Duets & Trios for Winds
is a versatile series
that encourages playing
in a variety of
combinations. Featuring
three written parts for
every song, the
arrangements are designed
so that the top line is
the melody (Part 1), the
second line (Part 2)
creates a duet, and the
third line (Part 3) forms
a trio. You can play solo
parts alone or form small
wind ensembles by mixing
and matching
instrumentation, as well
as mixing the parts
played.

This
book is about the perfect
saxophone sound. In an
easygoing, yet accurate
manner, Dirko Juchem
explains all effects that
a saxophonist should be
able to master on his
instrument: Professional
breathing, embouchure,
intonation, vibrato,
growl, subtone, false
fingerings, high notes,
glissando, jazz and rock
phrasing are all dealt
with in detail and
demonstrated on the
accompanying audio
tracks. Additional
session tracks provide
the possibility to put
the acquired knowledge
into practice immediately
'with a band'. Due to the
easygoing way of
imparting fundamental
knowledge,
'Saxophon-Sound' is a
valuable addition to
instrumental lessons, and
even the experienced
saxophonist will find the
advanced techniques, such
as false fingerings or
high notes, to be
professional practising
material.
'Saxophon-Sound' is ideal
for saxophone lessons and
can be used as motivating
accompanying material in
addition to any customary
method.

elegantly explores the
poetic and technical
resources of the
instrument Armando
Ghidoni knows so well
(Concerto pour saxophone
et orchestre à

pour saxophone alto,
piano et
orchestre). The
diptych, approximately
five minutes in length,
opens with an Adagio, a
free deEclamation in
recitative that is an
oasis of tenderness to
which the glissandi bring
a whiff of the Orient. In
contrast to this
voluptuous dream, the
second section, marked
Vivo brilante ben

soloist to display a
sparkling virtuosity '

betraying the underlying
spirit of improvisation.
