Le candombe est une danse de carnaval de la population de la minorité noire de l'Uruguay, un rappel de l'époque de l'esclavage, ce petit pays dont la population provient principalement des immigrants européens.Le tango a évolué presque en parallèle avec le candombe. Il a été construit au tournant du siècle dans les bidonvilles de Montevideo et Buenos Aires chez les immigrants européens. Environ 40 ans, il est resté phénomène et une faible expression du peuple avant d'éminents musiciens, compositeurs et poètes de son pays d'adoption. Ils l'ont aidé à une hausse considérable du niveau culturel.La Balada Inde est un hommage à Enrique Crespo esclaves population indigène de l'Amérique, en particulier un hommage aux Indiens complètement éradiquée son pays d'origine.Le Choro a enfin son berceau au Brésil, l'un des représentants typiques de la musique de danse brésilienne et enfant préféré était célèbre compositeur brésilien de la musique classique, par exemple Valdir Acevedo et Heitor Villa-Lobos. / Tuba Et Piano

Par FLIGHT JAMES. A Short Sonata is a work written at around Grade 8 standard for Euphonium and Piano. In each of the work's three movements, different qualities of the instrument are utilised and explored. In the first movement, an Allegro in 6/8 time, these qualities are the instrument's general agility, and its ability to play fast-moveing melodies in a way that drives the music forward. Throughout, different ways of phrasing similar material are used to create interest and a varied sound. In the second, slow movement, the resonant and majestic way in which the euphonium can deliver lyrical melodic lines is explored. The movement usmade up of four long phrases which peak dynamically at the third, giving room for interpretation and feeling. The third movement exploits the instrument's ability to play loudly and aggressively, using lots of accented notes, hairpin crescendos and quick double-tounging. A Short Sonata was the winner of the first Stainer & Bell Award for Brass Composition, held at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, May 2010./ Recueil / Tuba et Piano

Par ADLER SAMUEL. Premiered in October 2018 by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, principal tubist David Saltzman as soloist, the Concerto features three movements with a cadenza between the second and third. Adler likens the solo passages in the first movement and cadenza to a singing cantor, an obvious homage to his own father's work in that role.
