Encouragé par le succès de sa version de Schubert Arpeggione Sonata enregistrées sur CD avec le soliste, David Geringas, Heribert Breuer présente aujourd'hui un autre arrangement pour l'instrumentation même, à savoir le violoncelle Sonate #1 opus 38 de Johannes Brahms. En raison de sa texture distinctement polyphonique, cette composition qui, à l'égard du thème, retombe sur l'Art de Fugue de Bach, dans les mouvements externes semblait idéale pour attiser sur la partie de piano au spectre sonore des six instruments plutôt variables.
