Cette courte pièce a initialement été écrite lors du COMPOLAB de l’ensemble Ars Nova. À la demande de Jean- Luc Menet, et dans le but de l’intégrer à un concert ayant pour thématique les liens entre arts visuels et musique, et en particulier l’ouvrage de Jean-Noël Von der Weid Le flux et le fixe, j’ai substitué la clarinette au saxophone soprano et corrigé quelques éléments.Ici, point de figuralisme. J’ai simplement cherché, de manière très intuitive, à me laisser porter par les traits de cette aquarelle tardive de Paul Klee, et cherché l’épure et la précision du geste à travers les « aventures » de petites cellules musicales, comme le motif présent à la clarinette qui vient infecter les autres instruments, ou encore ces sons de souffle qui viennent se glisser progressivement dans la texture du trio. La pièce se délie au fur et à mesure du tempset trouve son chemin à travers une ampleur harmonique difficilement imaginable au début de la pièce, comme un aventurier à la recherche de l’inconnu.Augustin Braud / Musique de chambre / Artchipel
