PR48 kick drum microphone
is the end result of what
happens when you start
with the finest kick drum
microphone components
– listen to what
your customers want based
on real-world drumming
conditions, and put it
all together. Heil
incorporates suggestions
from some of the best
drummers and drum &
sound technicians in the
world into the PR48. That
and two years of
“in the
field†research
refining these
suggestions, yields the
PR48, ready to take on
any kick drum. The PR48
contains a large
vulcanized double
shock-mounted diaphragm
element, impervious to
external vibration and
noise. The PR48 also has
our best rear noise
rejection, and excellent
(148 db) SPL handling;
all housed in a solid
flat black emron steel
body with red screens on
an adjustable
swivel-mount. Heil adds
passive internal low pass
filters to create rises
in the frequencies where
the kick drum's sound
benefits most. The kick
beater is also
represented like never
before in the mix through
this filtering. This is a
great rock kick drum mic,
but also is at home
serving country, jazz,
funk, blues and metal
drummers with a kick drum
sound that has no equal.
While some kick drum
microphones judge
themselves by how well
they can handle EQ; how
about a kick drum mic
that sounds fantastic
with NO EQ! As a
finishing touch, the PR48
has a 45 degree angle XLR
plug to allow for easier
XLR connecting during
setup. The PR48 can be
purchased separately, or
in the HDK drum kit
series, (HDK-5, HDK-7 and
HDK-8), and is available
with a variety of
microphone mounting
options. With the PR48
you get the built-in
metal swivel mic stand
mount connected. $249.00 - Voir plus => AcheterDélais: 24 hours - In Stock | | |

are the very best
advocates for your
school's music programs?
The kids! Advocacy is a
continuous process of
diligent education to
bring awareness about the
benefits of music
learning to the general
public. And, kids can
expertly share the joy of
music making and learning
in a variety of different
ways. The authors worked
together to develop a
musical revue about the
wonder of music. Each of
the seven original songs
can be performed together
as a complete program, or
they can be sung in other
contexts as well. The
30-minute revue includes
piano/vocal arrangements
with choreography, short
narrations for up to 65
speaking parts and
digital access to student
PDFs. To perform with
recordings, the
Performance Kit includes
the Teacher Edition and
digital access to student
PDFs and
performance/accompaniment
audio recordings. Songs
include: Music Is an
Everyday Thing, Many
Things I Learned I
Learned Through Music,
Playing Music Is Hard
Work, A Song in My Heart,
Working Together, If I
Didn't Have Music, Our
Place in the Choir. In
addition to a musical
revue, the second half of
the book is focused on
strategies, ideas and
conversations about the
importance of music study
in children's and
adolescents' lives. There
are even writing and
advocacy activities to
engage students in the
promotion of the critical
role that music plays in
their lives. The ten
chapters concentrate on
attributes of music
education and how
children benefit from
music study highlighted
in the Broader Minded
Campaign put forth by the
National Association for
Music Education (NAfME):
Decision Making, Grit,
Multiple Ways of Knowing,

English. Conductors
are artists—but
they also have a singular
responsibility to go
beyond the music to
nurture the inner voices
of their ensemble
members.In Mentoring in
the Ensemble Arts, author
Tim Sharp examines the
mentor/protégé
dynamic and its critical
impact on the lives of
ensembles and their
conductors. Sharp draws
from research, his own
experience as a choir
conductor, mentor, and
protégé, and his
travels as Executive
Director of the American
Choral Directors
Association. The result
is a profound portrait of
this rarely discussed
aspect of a
conductor’s life.
Coming full circle,
Mentoring in the Ensemble
Arts reinforces a
conductor’s own
desire to develop his or
her own personal learning
community to continually
strive for excellence by
being a protégé to
other leaders.The goal of
this book is to help the
conductor realize the
full potential of the
mentor/protégé
relationship and to
assist both mentor and
protégé in
achieving the best
possible benefits of
these relationships. The
result will be better
music making and more
fulfilled human beings
for generations to
come.Tim Sharp (BM, MCM,
DMA) is Executive
Director of the American
Choral Directors
Association (ACDA), the
national professional
association for choral
conductors, educators,
scholars, students, and
choral music industry
representatives in the
United States. He
represents choral
activity in the United
States to the
International Federation
for Choral Music (IFCM).
Sharp, himself an active
choral conductor,
researcher, and writer,
has varied his career
with executive positions
in higher education,
recording, and
publishing. Prior to his
leadership of ACDA, Sharp
was Dean of Fine Arts at
Rhodes College (Memphis,

Director of Choral
Activities at Belmont
University (Nashville,
TN). His research and
writing focuses
pedagogically in
conducting and score
analysis, and various
published essays betray
his eclectic interests in
regional music history,
acoustics, creativity,
innovation, and
aesthetics. He has
conducted university,
community, church, and
children’s choirs,
and continues to serve as
a choral conductor and
clinician in the United
States and
internationally. Sharp

list is a veritable who's
who in the brass field,
isn't it? And after
having witnessed many
times the solid effects
of visual education, I
commenced thinking about
the possibilities of
teaching music by means
of pictures. The Chinese,
in their own terse
concise way, simply say,
'A picture is worth a
thousand words', so
perhaps that is enough
said about the philosophy
behind this instructional
endeavour. But even the
best of pictures - I
should say here that the
cartoons in this book are
the products of Clyde E.
(Bud) Morris of Akron,
Ohio, whose amazing
ability to transcribe my
teaching ideas in picture
form is the making of
this entire unique
presentation - even the
best of pictures needs
interpretation and

have made a list of
suggestions to the
reader, which will enable
him to benefit fully from

across the country,
student leadership is
often thought of in terms
of titles, authority
status, section leader
positions, and being in
charge of others—a
responsibility assumed by
only a select few. But
what if we reframed and
broadened the idea of
leadership to include all
students as leaders of
their own pathway in
life? Band director Scott
Rush and leadership
legend Tim Lautzenheiser
join forces to create
Pathway to Success, a
dynamic and engaging
resource that fosters the
leadership qualities of
every student, not just
the chosen few. This
workbook guides students
through ten sequential
levels as they journey up
the metaphorical mountain
of self-leadership. Along
the way, students will
encounter lessons,
activities, stories,
quotes, and questions
that address the key
qualities of any
effective leader:
communication, attitude,
honesty, trust,
integrity,
self-discipline,
emotional health, goal
setting, relationships,
cooperation, loyalty,
selflessness. Upon
reaching the summit,
students are challenged
to create a
moonshot—to set a
goal and achieve
something that has never
been done before! True
leadership begins with
self-reflection in each
and every student. All
students can benefit when
they see themselves as
their own best leaders,
and therein lies the
foundation of a culture
of excellence. Pathway to
Success is a
groundbreaking leadership
program designed to
inspire student growth
and enhance any band,
choir, or orchestra
program—and
beyond. To borrow a
phrase: All children have
talents, however, not all
children have opportunity
and encouragement.
Pathway to Success by Tim
Lautzenheiser and Scott
Rush describes in detail
the how and provides that
encouragement young
people need to overcome
any reservations and
reluctance they may have
to step forward and
become a leader! History
is full of examples of
shy and timid youngsters
who responded to a
challenge and rose to
greatness as a leader.
This book is invaluable
for any age! Leadership
by example. Pathway to
Success. I wish it was
available when I was a
student. Tim and Scott
nailed it! —

enjoyed great popularity
and were widely known in
Germany and abroad as
late as the second half
of the 19th century.
However, any chance of a
revival of Weber's
influential and
substantial oeuvre was
wasted in the 1920s, when
a complete edition -
begun by Hans Joachim
Moser and with potential
contributors including
Wilhelm Kempff, Hans
Pfitzner, Max von
Schillings, Fritz Stein
and Richard Strauss -
failed after the third
volume. Ever since there
have been numerous
attempts to restart a
complete edition of
Weber's works, but as
this kind of project
would have required the
co-operation of scholars
from both sides of the
inter-German border, the
political situation after
1945 was not conducive to
any such enterprise.
Careful negotiations led
to the first tangible
steps in the 1980s. The
intention, right from the
beginning, was to place
Weber's work in context,
and not to separate his
musical output from his
influential work as a
writer, critic and
organiser in the musical
field, but to publish his
compositions together
with his letters, diaries
and other literary output
as the best way to
document the
cross-fertilisation
between his musical,
literary and practical
activities. Since the
German re-unification
both working-parties
concerned - at the
Staatsbibliothek zu
Berlin, and at the
Musikwissenschaftliches
Seminar,
Detmold/Paderborn - have
co-operated on the
complete edition of the
musical works (c. 45
volumes in10 series:
sacred music; cantatas,
odes and other occasional
works; stage works;
lieder and vocal works;
orchestral works; chamber
music; music for piano;
piano reductions;
miscellanea, arrangements
and orchestrations; works
of doubtful attribution).
The diaries (68 vols.)
are edited in Berlin and
the letters (810 vols.)
and other writings (2
vols.) in Detmold. This
complete edition aims to
be a reliable basis of
scholarly debate as well
as for the authentic
performance practice of
Carl Maria von Weber's
music. Conforming to the
standards of recent
historico-critical
editions, the textual
material will be based on
all available authentic
sources, accompanied by a
detailed documentation of
the genesis and a list of
variants for each work.
The musicological
importance of the works
will be evaluated by
placing them in their
historical context, the
presentation of their
genesis, history and
Critical Commentaries.
The letters, writings and
diaries will be treated
as inter-relatedand
relevant to each other in
the commentaries,
therefore readers should
benefit from a wealth of
concise information
