About
Build-A-Band
Series The
Build-A-Band Series
provides educational and
enjoyable music for bands
with incomplete or
unbalanced
instrumentation. Written
using just four or five
parts (plus percussion),
these effective
arrangements will work
with any combination of
brass, woodwind, string
and percussion
instruments as long as
you distribute the parts
so that each of the five
parts is covered. All of
the publications in the
Build-A-Band Series have
been arranged to be
playable with any
instrumentation as long
as each part is used: 1st
Part, 2nd Part, 3rd Part,
4th Part, and Bass Part.
(Please note: In some of
these arrangements the
4th Part, and the Bass
Part are the same, making
it possible to play those
arrangements with only 4
parts.) $60.00 - Voir plus => AcheterDélais: 1 to 2 weeks | | |

Concert Band/Wind
Ensemble. FJH Concert
Band. Give me your tired,
your poor, your huddled
masses yearning to
breathe free. "We hold
these truths to be
self-evident: that all
men are created equal."
"Four score and seven
years ago our fathers
brought forth, upon this
continent, a new nation,
conceived in liberty, and
dedicated to the
proposition that 'all men
are created equal.'"
These quotations are
symbolic of one of the
most basic of all
American tenants: that
for all people, our
nation was conceived as a
wellspring of vast
potential, a place of
immeasurable opportunity,
a land where all dreams
could take root, grow,
and flourish. America
represents a tremendous
confluence of diverse but
convergent elements and
resources. This piece
celebrates the power,
energy, and boundless
spirit created by this
convergence of cultures,
beliefs, and ideals.

wrote a large portion of
his most distinctive
music late in life,
following the success of
a revised version of his
opera Jenufa in 1916. His
extensive research of the
national folklore had a
great impact on his work
as a composer. Inspired
by a military band
performance in a park,
the Sinfonietta opens
with a military-style
fanfare for brass and
percussion. It received
its commission from a
Czech gymnastics
association to celebrate
the Eighth National Sokol
Rally which took place in
Prague in the summer of
1926. The Czech
Philharmonic gave the
first performance on June
26th of that year under
the direction of Vaclav

movements provide
contrasting melodic and
rhythmic material,
characterized by rhythmic
shifts, abrupt mood
changes, and fragments of
folk dance. The final
movement climbs through a
long, intensifying
sequence to reprise the
opening music, now taken
