Árpád Pejtsik, the editor of the series, has transcribed for three cellos the Trio Sonata in G Major for Flute, Violin and Continuo by Bach, a witty bagatelle by Beethoven and two works originally written for the piano (Sarabande, Gavotte) by Brahms in his youth. While at least intermediate instrumental skills are required due to the use of higher positions when playing the top parts, the bottom parts can be performed by beginner cellists. And nothing is better suited to this than well-loved and popular Christmas classics.The volumes in our series for instrumental teaching, developed in collaboration with the Landesakademie für die musizierende Jugend in Baden-Württemberg, all contain 20 easy carols arranged in progressive level of difficulty. Experienced instrumental teachers have made a selection of carols for each instrument according to specific criteria. These can be mastered as part of music school lessons after just a few weeks and months. All the carols have been chosen and transposed so that the range and fingering combinations do not exceed the level of difficulty for the first three years of learning.The piano accompaniment is of moderate difficulty. For many of the carols, an ad lib upper or lower part is included which can also be played by instrumental pupils. Fi'er, Lubo' Sonatas for Violoncello - Highly effective concert pieces - Fingering and bowing for the Sonata for Violoncello solo by Marek Jerie - Foreword by Joná' Hájek (Cz/Eng/Ger) This edition contains three cello compositions by Lubo' Fi'er: Sonata for Violoncello and Piano (1975), Sonata for two Violoncellos and Piano (1980), and Sonata for Violoncello solo (1985-1986). Lubo' Fi'er was a remarkable personality in the Czech music scene of the 20th century. He is known for combining traditional notation and aleatory elements. The music of the sonatas is dramatic and expressive. These are effective concert pieces with a performance duration of approximately eight minutes each. The edition is based on first prints of the works supplemented by various other sources. The part of the Sonata for Violoncello solo was revised by cellist Marek Jerie during the composer's lifetime.
